Dr. Peter Joseph Ocarroll III, MD

Great Doctor and great bedside manner.

Dr. O'Carroll was very patient while addressing every question and concern my mother had at her appointment. He is knowledgeable and spent the time that was needed to make her feel comfortable with her course of treatment. Granbury is lucky to have a Neurologist like Peter O'Carroll and would highly recommend.

A few weeks ago my orthopedist requested an EMG from this office. They never called to schedule the appointment. I contacted my Ortho again, and their office called to get the appointment scheduled. I received a call the next day to schedule the EMG. I called this morning to confirm the appointment, and the receptionist in O'Carrolls office did not see me on the list for tomorrow, and instead of waiting for me to ask a question, she just transferred the call to the EMG guys voice mail. I waited for a return call, but nothing. I finally called O'Carrolls office and before she hung up/transferred me, I asked for a phone number. I got it, and called the EMG line directly. Again no response. It's possible the emg guy was with a patient, but their client service is horrible. They don't respond to referral requests and this is the second time I've tried to get something scheduled through their office. The first time, they never returned any calls and I finally got a neurologist… in Ft. Worth that actually responds to patients. I don't know about the medicine, but the office is atrocious. Run away if someone refers you to these folks.

I will not go back to him. He was to busy with his vacations.

He is fantastic. You won't feel rushed. Very patient. Be sure that you bring all yor concerns, he will listen.

It's clear that Dr. Ocarrol will use all resources to help his patients. I trust him 100%

I had a very pleasant experience with his office. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downfall was the wait time for an appointment which seems to be expected since he's the only one in town. He spent a lot of time with me.

Wonderful physician when you get to see him. Very personable. Difficult to get an appointment if you are having a problem. Usually at least 1-2 week wait.

I am very conflicted in writing this review. Dr. O'Carroll is really fantastic in every way. He can diagnose when other doctors have fallen short, or become stumped. He treats my husband and i (very different conditions) and we both think he's fantastic, but think his staff are horrible. They almost never answer the phone during business hours, despite multiple attempts throughout the day. They file paperwork late, if they even remember to do it at all. It takes weeks to get a phone call returned. Communication skills are definitely lacking. I find it extremely frustrating that in order to see this amazing doctor, i have to put up with all of this. Dr. O'carroll listens very well. Doesn't mind answering a bunch of questions, or explaining things in a very simple way. And when he reassures you, it's actually comforting. He's awesome! One of the few doctors (of many) i've had, that i feel actually listens.

I use to see Dr. O'Carroll and I got on the medicine that I needes. after three years I had to go back. I made my appointment and got a confirmation for 9:30. I walked in at 9:25 and the receptionist told me I needed to be there at 9:00 to fill out my paper work. I explained to her that the recording did not say that and I did not know because technically I am not a new patient. I have severe migraines and I really needed to see him now. She handed me the paperwork told me that he absolutely would not see me and i could reschedule. I have NEVER been to a doctor that has turned me away because I didn't get there in their time frame to fill out paperwork. She had no sympathy or concern for me as a patient. This is not my review on doctor O'Carroll, my past experience with him has been good. But his unfriendly staff will cause me to look elsewhere for treatment.
