I would never trust this group with any surgery. Dr. O'Rourke was the anesthesiologist for my mother. During her surgery her Carbon Dioxide level was allowed to be abnormally high for over 1 hour. I may not be an Anesthesiologist but i don't have to be one to know that if your CO2 is too high for too long..you die!!! My mom went into surgery a strong talking, vibrant 53 year old woman and never regained consciousness after surgery. I'm sharing this to say...If you are undergoing surgery...please think long and hard about if this is the type of Dr. you want working your case. This is one who says, its ok for your CO2 to be elevated in a closed head surgery for over 1 hour while you are under his care. This is one who blames the patient for his mistakes once he is found out. And oh we didnt find out because he said anything...NOT A WORD...that would be too much like right..That would take too much integrity, honesty, and morality...But when the surgeon was scrambling trying ot find out… what happened...Not a word did he say....He didnt know that i was a medical professional that could read the record, and he obviously thought the elephant in the room would go away...Well..it didnt..
