the way Dr. Richel interacts with his patience is second-to-none. He has a humorous way to make kids feel at ease and at the same time educates them about what is happening with them.

...but a caring person.My daughter has been seeing Dr. Pete since she was born. Words could not explain how great our experiance has been with him and his staff. He is an amazing Doctor who genuinely loves what he does, and a caring person who seems to look out for everyone's welfare - patients and non-patients alike. Just some examples to name a few:1 - I brought my daughter in for her 6-month checkup, and when he was done with her, he asked how I was doing. As the father, it was the first time anyone asked me how I was doing in more than 6-months. I told him I was a bit under the weather, and wrote it off to allergies. Yet, he took a few minutes to check my throat, ears, and breathing. 2 - I brought my daghter in with high fevers because of a virus that wouldnt go away. Later in the night, I received a call personally from Dr. Pete to check up on my her and make sure she was doing okay.3 - We saw him at Applebee's one day, and he got up from his booth to come say hello to us.… We chatted for a few minutes, and he went back to his table. Later on, I saw him chatting it up at another booth with what looked to be other patients of his.Writing reviews like this is something I never do, but Dr. Pete is so good at what he does, that its just the least I can do. I know a lot of parents who take their kids to him, and I've never come across one bad experience. There's simply not enough "Dr. Pete's" out there that likes to help people the way he does.

Compassion and personalized quality care for my kids; he knows their names and their history. They love going to the doctor's office! I looked up the Castle-Connelly guide to the best NY metro area pediatricians--our doc has been listed yearly since 1997. We left a large practice for him...now we are not a number!
