Dr. Peter Dominic Rinaldi, DO

Dr Rinaldi was my 2nd opinion Dr with a shoulder issue. First opinion was I needed shoulder replacement. He looked at MRI and took the time to discuss options. We decided the best way for me to go and he scheduled my surgery within a week. It was an out patient surgery and it went great. His follow up visits at his office we good. He was genuinely interested in my care and after care. He set me up with physical therapy and with a very short time less than a month) my shoulder was back to full mobility. I wish he had stayed in my area as I would recommend him to anyone that needed his expertise.

His profile says he asks a lot of questions, is patient focused and involves the patient. That could not be further from the truth. He asked me very few questions, not curious about how my knee pain was impacting my life or even if it was, seemed to only care that I was overweight...have been my entire life including when I had my last knee replacement...and was more interested in telling me the horrors of getting an infection from knee surgery than anything else. Brushed off my experience, didn't believe I was an active person but that I should quite walking for exercise [my only option], told me to swim or use an exer-cycle [not an available option]. I had to push him to find out what else I could do, only option in his mind was exercise tho' not walking or physical therapy, maybe an injection that didn't work for half the people, even though the xrays clearly showed very little cushion on one half of my knee and I had a lot of pain from it...oh wait, he never asked about the pain.… In addition, I'd been offered replacement surgery for that knee four years ago when they did my first knee, though the doctor preferred that I wait. So I did.
