Dr. Peter Gordon Robertson, MD

I understand that Dr. Robertson is a respected cardiologist, but I feel compelled to share our experience so others can make informed decisions. My husband was referred to him after being diagnosed with A-Fib during a pre-op exam for a minor surgical procedure. Unfortunately, Dr. Robertson did nothing to actively treat the A-Fib. He simply cleared my husband for surgery and scheduled a follow-up six months later. After speaking with several other doctors, we learned that the standard protocol for newly diagnosed A-Fib typically includes prescribing a blood thinner to reduce the risk of stroke. That never happened. My husband suffered a stroke not long after. I’m not claiming Dr. Robertson is directly responsible for the stroke—but I do believe he failed to take appropriate preventative measures. Based on our experience, I would not recommend him.

Dr Robertson and the staff took excellent care of me. I appreciated how the staff were engaged, kept me informed, and made sure all necessary tests were done. Dr Robertson is impressive...he spent a lot of time discussing my heart health, prognosis, what to watch for, and future treatment plan if necessary. I was impressed and feel comfortable going forward.

I saw Dr. Robertson 5 or 6 years ago after countless stints in the emergency room with irregular heart rhythms and dangerously fast heart rates... Even when I was almost passing out in his office and the nurse had to call my relative to come get me because I couldn’t drive he simply told me that because I was young mid 20s healthy, never done drugs, drank alcohol, etc.. it was just anxiety... Well turns out I had to have a heart ablation for atrial flutter and SVT once I was seen at another cardiologist office. This “man” will not take you seriously if you’re “young and appear healthy” I’m afraid of what would have happened to me had I not of went somewhere with a competent cardiologist that actually listened and cared. Despite my pleading with my husband not to go to him he still went yesterday and once again, he told him because he was young, basically he is fine. Which he is not. We will not be going back if its the last thing I do. I wish I could give this zero stars.

I have been Dr. Robertsons patient now for almost a year. Am a 79 year old female that had heart issues that he and DR. Edward Rhim helped me understand and most of all worked with me to fix the problem. They are the most caring, medically intelligent team I have ever been involved with. Very helpful, answers all questions with explanations, and sincerely believe in the very best in patient care. Their office staff and nurses are very patient oriented. I am truly blessed to have them as my Doctors.

Impeccable bed manner so and attention to detail. He is a kind and gentle soul - not something you normally see with cardiologist. I had to try my cardio version twice, because first time he found a blood clot potentially on the way to my head. Glad we didn’t go ahead that time, but second time it worked like a champ. My heart rate is perfect. Reviewers who have given low reviews on his promptness or how long he listens to their stories just don’t know that he is double booked on a light day and triple booked on tough days. Try to be conscious of his time and just let him see more people to help them.
