Dr. Peter G Stickney

Dr. Peter G. Stickney received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in May of 2000. While at the University of Florida, Dr. Stickney was active Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and the college administration's Clinical Affairs committee. Dr. Stickney participated in many community service projects including Habitat for Humanity and the ACORN clinic while in school.
Prior to attending the University of Florida, Dr. Peter Stickney attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. While at Stetson University, Dr. Stickney was an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, a Student Ambassador, and the Crew team. Dr. Stickney was admitted to the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honorary his senior year. Dr. Stickney contributed his spare time to numerous charitable organizations while at Stetson University.
Dr. Stickney joined the dental community in Ocala in 2007 after owning a successful …general dental practice in Bonita Springs, Florida for six years. While in Bonita Springs, he spent many hours working with low income families through both Family Health Centers and the PGA Champion's Tour program, Christina's Smile. A continued support of Habitat for Humanity and an active member of Kiwanis International kept Dr. Stickney in close touch with his community.
A commitment to excellence in dentistry has lead Dr. Stickney to many continuing education programs to advance his knowledge and skills in dentistry. Programs include The Pankey Institute, The Dawson Academy, and The Scottsdale Center for Dentistry with Frank Spear and many advanced CEREC courses. Dr. Stickney has chosen to further "pay it forward" as a CERECDoctors.com mentor. The mentor program allows Dr. Stickney to help other dentists further their CEREC education through The Scottsdale Center. In addition, Dr. Stickney has been able to help test and improve cutting edge dental materials and products as part of the CERECDoctors.com mentor group. Dr. Stickney is also a certified CEREC trainer for Patterson Dental and as such trains new users of CEREC technology. This life-long commitment to his education and his patients provides only the best comprehensive dental care for the community.
Dr. Stickney is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is working towards a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Stickney is also a member of the ITI Implant Study Club and has previously been a member of The Seattle Study Club.
While away from work, Dr. Stickney's life is focused on his family: his wife Dr. Robin Stickney and his son, Nathan. Between work, education, and the many extracurricular activities of his 8 year old son, Dr. Stickney loves spending some peaceful time behind the yoke of a small airplane.
