Dr. Peter Tarbox, MD

The office staff are rude and incompetent. They did not have my first appointment on their books after scheduling me over the phone 6 weeks in advance after my referral and receiving all my medical records in and being set up in their patient portal. They had me sit and fill out paperwork before telling me they couldn't see me during which another patient that walked in also had an appointment they had neglected to schedule. They were unapologetic for their mistake, made no offer to fit me in sooner and almost seemed to enjoy telling me how far out they were booking at that time. The doctor may be great, but unfortunately it doesn't matter if support staff are terrible.

HORRIBLE STAFF, better “Nuerologist”. Terrible care from staff or maybe P.A. Thomas. They have provided the worst care I have ever received mind you, I’m insured.

Dr Tarbox and PA Thomas have been caring for me routinely for over 3 years. They have given me consistent superior care. If you ask PA Thomas a question, she’ll always get back with you in a timely manner. Dr Tarbox is very thorough in ruling out illnesses and accommodating if you ask for tests that may help rule out illnesses. The staff is wonderful and even when i had a problem with a staff member’s work Dr Tarbox handled it swiftly and asked for feedback. They have a challenging demand but i never feel like a number. I trust them with my life and you should too! I thank God for them!

I originally scheduled my appointment over a month out. I was left a message on Wednesday to confirm a Friday appointment. Since I played the message that night after work I decided I would call the next day. While teaching class on Thursday the office left two messages. Because I can not accept calls at work I waited until after work to confirm my appointment for the next afternoon. Surprise, surprise my appointment was canceled for non confirmation. The first message let on Thursday morning (9:00ish) stated that if I did not call by 2:00 PM my appointment would be cancelled. The second message (3:00ish) stated my appointment had be canceled. Never was a deadline to confirm expressed to me except for the 9:00 AM message on the day they cancelled the appointment. Had they informed me of this policy on the day they made the appointment I would not have assumed that you must confirm before close of business the day before your appointment. In my 55 years I have never heard of a… policy like this and not stating the absurd policy in the beginning is asking for bad review. So here is mine. Thanks for wasting my time.

The office staff is incompetent. The visit I had with the PA was rushed. I think she was running behind and trying to catch up or she just does not care. Dr Tarbox listed and the assessment was thorough. Unfortunately the office staff's lack of knowledge and inability to answer simple questions resulted in me having to fire Dr Tarbox. I was told "I'll ask the doctor and call you back." I waited a week without a call so i called. Still no answer and i was told "well...the doctor is very busy." This went on for 4 weeks! I finally had enough and had to find a new doctor. Good luck if you choose this one.

The staff is not very friendly and the nurse Analisa is a joke! You can leave several voicemails without a call back, you can be promised a call in ten minutes and never get one. They have been short staffed for over a year now. If your waiting for results you might as well wait till your autopsy. I've never met Dr. Tarbox but heard he is great. P.A. Thomas was also very good.

Dr. Tarbox is an extremely conscientious neurological specialist. I terminated our visits with him simply because his office is located too far from our home. We live near Sontera Blvd on the North Side of town. His office is located on the South Side.

My sister had her initial appointment & she couldn't be happier! Both myself and her husband are completely in agreement Dr. Tarbox is the neurologist she needs, feels comfortable with and isn't afraid to ask questions.
