Dr. Peter Jay Wolk, MD

I have always found him to be friendly, professional. up front with you, honest,and answers questions you have and ask the ones he needs. I would recommend him over any doctor in his field over any doctor in Oroville and most in Chico.

Think hes a good doctor, but can be moody and exhibit temper.

Back in 2000, I was 34 years old, a wife and mother, who was seriously ill, and searching for a diagnosis. One day, I happened to cross paths with Dr. Wolk, who diagnosed me with a life-threatening heart condition. He's now known as my "GUARDIAN ANGEL," who saved my husband, and our two little boys, ages 3 & 4, the heartache of growing up without a mother, when he saved my life!!!!!

Dr. Wolk is a no nonsense professional. He gives you the straight, complete information which reduces the need to ask many questions. If you do have a question, he is thorough in giving his answer. He is prompt, quick to assess the issue and quick to resolve it. Perfect for me, I don't want a doctor who wants to spend half an hour chatting, Get me in, get me out, we're good. I've been with him for more than 5 years and I'm satisfied. Also, wait time at the office doesn't mean much to me, I am always 15 to 30 minutes early for my appt. anyway.

abrupt, no follow up on holter monitor, dismissive. staff unconcerned spent one minute with me before walking out while i was trying to ask a question. no diagnoses, just referred to someone else. i changed doctors.

A friend told me to change doctors because she had a bad experience with Dr. Wolk. However I am pleased with my experience with Dr Wolk, He put me on a new medicine and it is still working wonders after 5 years. Also the staff are great. The Nurse practitioners are awesome too.
