Dr. Philip Oreilly Dripchak, MD

The staff and doctor was no help to me at all. He gave me a shot in my knee and physical therapy no plan for care after that! I was asked what do I want to do about my knee problem. When asked to see another doctor they his staff as well as himself were done with me. They didn’t give me numbers of physicians to reach out too. They told me it was all my problem now. Would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I trust my PCP but I plan on telling him this was not a good choice for my care.

I like Dr. Dripchak fine and I have full confidence in his ability to do my upcoming surgery, but his office is not well run. He location is frequently moving, making it hard to figure out where I am going, even though I am seeing the same Dr. I have seen for a while. I recently was running late and I called the number I had been texted on my appointment reminder. That number wasn't his office, it was a large call center. The lady who I was finally connected to after multiple prompts was very nice and polite, but was unable to direct me to the office because she had never even been there. His office building was small, cramped and dated when I did find it. To top it off, the previous patient's dried blood was on the exam table I was placed on! He seems like a fine doctor, but this is definitely not a professionally run practice!

I was referred by Ft Knox due to foot issues. Only had two visits, but waited an hour each one. Never really helped me. I think he is prejudice against obese people. His comment at the second visit that lasted 5 minutes was that I should lose weight before I get big as a barrel. I know I'm fat, but it isn't from eating. I was told later I should of reported back to Ft Knox and they would quit sending referrals.

I have waited in waiting room at least 45 minutes every time I have seen him. He does not take seriously your reports of pain, MRI of ankle was needed to assess damage but he did not order MRI until four months late.

I was fortunate to not be able to get in to see my horrid PCP, Vincent Tanamachi, when I turned my foot oddly and I felt it crack. I was told by the hotline at Norton to see Dr. Dripchak. I am so thrilled that took place because he is EXTREMELY well trained at Emory, a very nice man with a wicked, fun sense of humor. I will always go to him in the future for any Orthopedic problems even if for some reason I have to pay out of pocket. I can't say enough good things about him except that he doesn't keep you waiting for more than fifteen minutes and if you seem like you have a sense of humor I expect he takes your lead before showing his hand. But his hand is a winner, even better than a straight flush. So poker up and see Dr. Dripchak, you truly can't do better than be in the care of this man's capable hands!
