Dr. Philip J Galasso, MD

1) At my annual physical, Dr. Galasso asked if I'd like a prescription to treat some minor acne. I told him I go annually to a dermatologist, but that I'd take the prescription and see how much the medicine costs before potentially filling the Rx (which I didn't). Galasso did not inform me that the mere scribbling of a prescription for a very "optional" treatment would change my no-cost check up into a full cost diagnostic visit. 2) I called to dispute the charge, explained the situation to an assistant at the office, and after she checked with Galasso, was told "no" through the assistant. I was irritated, but I paid the bill. 3) When time for my next appt, due to my experience I requested to switch to another Dr. in the practice. I was told, again through an assistant, that Galasso said "no". Q: What kind of doctor doesn't have the courtesy to speak to his patient personally when there is a conflict and then tries to hold the patient hostage in his practice? A: Dr. Galasso

Dr. Galasso referred me to a specialist, then due to scheduling conflicts with the specialist, I had to reschedule follow-ups with Galasso. I was fired as a patient due to Galasso's failure to recognize the scheduling conflicts. His assistant perpetuated the termination based upon her lack of knowledge or understanding, even though it was explained to her. She also claimed she had talked to me on the phone when she, in fact, did not. Made up notes in my file.

After living in Tucson 12 years and receiving unsatisfactory healthcare from 3 other physicians I found Dr. Galasso in 2014. Your care is personalized, he is current on medicine, and they will try their best to fit you in rather than your going to an urgent care or telemedicine. He is a fine physician.

Very condensending. Use of arcaic methods to provide a diagnosis without viewing the whole person or history. This was not a plesant or beneficial experience. Left with unanswered questions.

Dr. Galasso is an exceptional doctor who truly cares about his patients!

This physician is extremely thorough. I had a difficult to diagnose ailment. He collaborated with specialists until the appropriate diagnosis could be attained and treatment could be initiated.

Just really made a huge mess with me.

Dr. Galasso is very thorough. He does not rush through an appointment and he has done all my follow up calls himself! I feel I am in very good hands with Dr. Galasso.
