Dr. Philip Hollingsworth Imus, MD

Dr. Imus is very knowledgeable, caring and patient. I highly recommend him as a multiple myeloma specialist.

At first we had a good experience with him. But over time, we started noticing little things. He sometimes forgot about schedules or test results, and when reminded, would deny ever making any mistakes. Something really weird also happened with our radiation oncologist. Right before we were about to have a scheduled appointment with our radiation oncologist, he told us to tell him when we got to the hospital. He then came into our room and stopped our meeting and told the radiation oncologist that he would take care of us from that point onward. He told us that my husband's tumor had spread and that therefore there was no need for us to see the radiation oncologist anymore. The radiation oncologist had an odd look on his face. We later found out from other medical professionals that this was the equivalent of turf-fighting, that he was financially incentivized to keep my husband on his chemo regime, and didn't want his treatment going to the radiation oncology department. It was a very… low move that we only realized in hindsight, and when it was too late.

Dr. Imus is a very caring and thorough doctor. He is always available, answers his email, easy to reach. Never hurries in appointments.

Dr. Was prompt with return call and comforting in his knowledge. Diagnosis turns out was spot on. Very impressed with this Dr. And wish him well in his career.

Don't be fooled by his bedside manner. Horrible and unethical. He made several mistakes about my father's diagnosis and kept trying to prevent him from getting radiotherapy because he wanted to keep this patient to oncology. He also was very unresponsive at a time when my dad was put on a new therapy and ended up in emergency care. He is very unethical and irresponsible. Lied about my dad's prognosis just to get him on a particular therapy for studies purposes. Do not trust this guy. Biggest regret is trusting this doctor.

Good bedside manner, but very lazy and irresponsible. Don't be fooled by the way he looks, he blatantly lied to me about how safe a chemo was, and without telling me that it was really an experimental drug. Do not trust this guy, go for someone else. He's a manipulative psychopath.
