Dr Knott is absolutely the best!

Initially OK. But eventually revealed to be scheming manipulator. 1. Does NOT standby his work - the hallmark of a Charlton 2. Only will do procedures that can result in multiple revisions. 3. Blames patients for his mistakes Background. He is a 3rd rate surgeon, who saw his chance to transition from Ear-Nose-Throat to Facial Plastics with a lucrative contract offered by the City of San Francisco to help people in dire straits. He'll tell you he does this to help, people he's all about helping himself. Cosmetic surgery is a very competitive field, most practitioners can't hack it long enough to build a sufficient client base, but thanks to the City he got all the clients he could handle, without having to earn his portfolio through hard, accomplished work the way most plastic surgeons would. QED - He did everything on the cheap or not at all (but claimed he did!). He INTENTIONALLY disregarded my requests and used a cheek modification procedure that would guarantee him many… subsequent revisions that he can bill for! Regardless of the money! This huckster has STOLEN YEARS OF MY LIFE! Something that should have taken a few months has dragged out FOR YEARS! Even if the bogus insurance issues where on the level, he refused to do the honorable thing and fix it first then follow-up with the insurance!!! I can't live, I can't date, I can't perform (I'm an entertainer).

Dr. Knott is a perfectionist, with a hand of a master and an eye of an artist. I had difficulty breathing and Dr. Knott made me breathe again! I chose Dr. Knott because of his wide range of skills related to plastic surgeries of the face - from simple rhinoplasty to complex cancer and transgender facial plastic surgeries. He is very passionate about his work. As both a practitioner and an academic, he does research and takes complex cases that most surgeons can’t or won't do. He has the best bedside manners and is a true partner in your journey. He does not try to up-sell you additional procedures which is refreshing in a profession that is sometimes known for quantity over quality.

I visited from another part of CA to have a consultation for facial nerve repair from a tumor. Dr. Knott is very nice with pleasant bedside manner. The outcomes he shared wit me were subpar. The fact that he does not perform the full range of surgeries to remedy facial palsy were not worth the time. Also, a bad sign when he started talking about other doctors with much better outcomes in his discipline... elsewhere. You are essentially admitting that you are not skilled to perform for the discerning patient. I think a doctor should not highlight specialty surgery if he/she does not do it well. The eye surgery portions apppeared to be the only thing decent and not on all the patients I viewed. Additionally, I did not come to an appointment to visit with a Fellow that knows much less than the surgeon and used up a majority of my consultation time. Finally, this doctor said my brow was straight and it is actually off by a few mm however, the doctor did no measurements to verify this.… The comsultation was below average and made me ring one of the surgeons on the opposite coast to plan my surgery. The one thing it did was make me see how bad it can be to entrust your face to the wrong surgeon!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr.Philip Daniel Knott to anyone, anytime. He is an outstanding doctor as well as a sincerely courteous, knowledgeable, expert in his field. No better than HE. Not an errogant bone in his body and truly cares about his patients. Definitely not in it for the money only.
