Dr. Philip Joseph Verderame, MD

Dr. Verderame was the first person to really see me and all the talents and capabilities I had to offer the world. I don't think I would have recognized those qualities in myself had it not been for him. He also determined a previous severe mental illness I had been diagnosed with was actually incorrect and got me off of meds that were doing nothing but making my life more difficult. He has some of the most well developed social skills of any person I have ever met (and unfortunately in psychiatry this can be hard to come by, let's be honest here) and he comes up with potential solutions to problems that other doctors likely would not. He tries to focus on the whole picture of a persons health and doesn't just throw medication at the problem. He truly listens and allows you to advocate for yourself. He is closing his practice soon and he will be missed tremendously.

My husband has seen Dr. V for over 16 years and recently when my husband was in a locked dementia facility and was rapidly going downhill, he refused to go see him. Said something about us not giving him enough money over the years and I reminded him we'd paid him over $10,000 for his services and he still wouldn't do it. Two weeks later my husband died. How's that for a doc who cares??? What goes around comes around. Need I say more?

Dr. Verderame is warm and caring and makes his patients feel very safe. This is a safe place to go to heal.
