Dr. Phillip Robert Fleshner, MD

I most strongly suggest that you never use Philip Fleshner. He is a hack who runs a cattle car operation. I went to him for bleeding hemorrhoids. My previous proctologist, Dr. Sokol who retired, used to spend about 10 minutes with me, examining my hemorrhoids and giving several injections that stopped the bleeding for 3 to 6 months. In contrast, Fleshner spent literally less than 2 minutes with me, no examination, gave one shot and, after 4 days, my hemorrhoids were bleeding more intensely than before I saw him. What’s more, he had too many patients waiting to keep appropriate social distancing and kept me waiting for an hour past the appointment time. As I said, I most strongly suggest that you do not usw him.

I came with anal bleedings, mucus, fevers, pain sometimes, All of those are signs of proctitis or something else but not just hemorrhoids. However I was told that all I have are hemorrhoids. I said that I think there is more to it. In the end I found out with a different doctor that I have hemorrhoids, proctitis and Crohn disease. So I feel like I wasted my 4 months and money here. What is more I was shocked to come on a third visit and find out that my insuarance doesn't cover the shots I was receiving and that I owe already 600 for 3 shots. Why they didn't tell me that at the first visit? They had all my insuarance information. I hate when doctors offices do that and try to hide the cost of the treatments. I think that should become illegal to hide the prices of treatment like that.

He was very matter a fact about my situation. It is to be expected that he would want to operate but with a 50/50 chance of coming out with a rectal bag on the outside of my body was not even an option. I didn't feel any compassion for my situation. Just another disappointing results with a doctor. I don;t feel he addressed my complaints in the letter I sent him in advance so he could have a clear view of my situation. He even ask me the same questions I already covered. A typical surgeons attitude "operate" always. 5-10 minute conversation and $350 later with no real results. What can I say from here you get the picture!

I inherited Dr Fleshner from his former partner Dr Frolich years ago, so many I can't remember. My father died from colon cancer so I get regular colonoscopies, and originally had hemroid problems which through preventative treatments with the Doc haven't bothered me in years. I'm just writing this review now having not ocured to me before, because I was looking him up to provide more info to a friend to whom i was going to refer to Dr Fleshner.

HE IS HUMEROUS BUT CONSIDER THE SUBJECT bm' he makes it so you can talk to him.

I would highly recommend Dr Fleshner!!! I had such an amazing experience under his care!!! He's very clear & educational. His bedside manner is lively & empowering. But more importantly, he has unbelievable skills, with a good sense of humor to top it off. I've had zero side effects & my body is healed. I truly feel he, not only saved my life, but enhanced it 100%.

My surgeon for colon cancer. He removed large, long term tumor, with best possible result, -- no need for chemo or radiation. Although he was fully booked he fit me into his schedule the morning of the day he was leaving on a long term vacation.
