Dr. Phillip Lynn Nichols II, MD

I'm so disappointed in this doctor. He diagnosed me without proper evaluation of tests. I only had a consultation appointment with him. But he obviously contacted the insurance company and listed "obstructive sleep apnea" as my diagnosis and I never had any type of tests or sleep study to prove it. At my consultation appointment I shared with him that I fight in my sleep (which my mother also verified as true to him involving how I kick alot, punch, swing my arms all over the bed). He recommended a overnight sleep study within the lab so they can watch me sleep and monitor my brain waves, oxygen level and heart rate all the same time as I sleep which I agreed to do. A month later, I get a call stating that my insurance wouldn't cover a overnight sleep study in their lab so they would have to do a home sleep study which is scheduled for next month. I contacted my insurance because I wanted to know why a one night sleep study in a hospital setting wasn't covered when it's supposed to be.… My insurance claimed that Dr. Nichols never submitted for a overnight sleep study in the lab, because he requested a submission for a home sleep study. I was mad of course because Dr. Nicolas lied to me. Then my insurance company shared with me that Dr. Nicolas already diagnosed me with a condition called Obstructive sleep apnea. I was even more angry. This man literally misdiagnosed me with a condition that he "assumed or guessed as the problem" before proper evaluation and running tests that are required. I never had a sleep study before nor have I been to a sleep doctor before, so it's not in my history of true diagnosis and conditions. Please be aware of this doctor and listen or you will be misdiagnosed too like he did me. It's not worth putting your health at risk in the hands of the wrong doctor. If I would have known this before, I wouldn't have went to him. I refuse to go back to him after what he done. I can no longer trust this doctor.

He is a very poor male NP. Office is not clean. They do offer free masks for patients that do not want to catch anything from another. His NP call me for two visits when he could easily done it all in one visit. I am sure my insurance com would be interested. The male NP does not listen to you and has pat answers ready for you. Holly Byrd is the best one in the office. She will pull up a chair and really listen to what you tell her.

I am pleased that Dr Nichols seems to really care about my condition. He spends the time and makes me understand the problems and how to help my COPD. He deals with my questions with the concern I look for in a doctor.

He is NOT a good Dr in our opinion, my mother who has Severe respiratory problems with ALS He told her she didnt need to do her Breathing treatments or the,Oxygen for 24/7 like our other Dr (whom retired), he said it wouldnt matter because its The ALS , are you Serious?? Uts Prolonging her life you JERK! He needs to stop pretending to be a Doctor, plus he has no bedside manners at all , Mom couldnt stand his personality, new Dr we found is wonderful

he is an idiot,,,apparently forgot that my mom had already seen him and at one appointment he tells one thing and then on this appointment tells her something completely opposite. He does not listen to the concerns and spends NO time at all with the patient
