Dr. Phuong-Thuy Nguyen Le, MD

Dr. Le is a phenomenal psychiatrist and is incredibly diligent and present with me. She asks lots of questions to encourage not only the right medication, but pair a treatment modality to alleviate ongoing symptoms that aren't addressed by the medication. If you enter her office having already diagnosed yourself, you probably won't have a very pleasant experience. Instead you could rely on her 34 YEARS of experience in the field. Additionally, she has kept me up to speed on where the research has been going for my condition. Dr. Le is a treasure and I feel very lucky and blessed to be in her care. I have full confidence in her and would recommend her to anyone. Like any psychiatric treatment, weekly or bi-weekly therapy is recommended. She has given me many topics to bring up with my therapist that have led to tremendous growth for me. She is interested and caring and a delight to visit with every time.

Does not let me in on time even though I’m ahead of others. Neglectful to handling me as a patient and never asks me more than one question. Appointment is only a few minutes. She is rude, and unkind and shows

She looks mean and is neglectful to asking questions and never at all, as well and handling me as a patient. She lets me in last and the meeting is never more than five minutes. ????

Dishonest and tricky!!

This doctor has told me lies directly to my face. This doctor has said she will fax prescriptions that she did not. Her staff will repeat these lies, but refuse to give you their names. They will make billing errors, and then become combative and refuse to correct them. They offer the poorest level of care I have experienced in my entire life, and I used to be on medi-cal. I truly would not wish my worst enemy to go see this doctor, let alone someone in need of mental health treatment.

Dr. Le doesnâ??t listen or treat her patients with compassion and respect. Dr. Le is a joke! My mom has been a little off the last couple years so we as a family decided to take my mom in for a visit. I wanted a Vietnamese speaking female Dr. that my mom would be comfortable opening up to and Dr. Le was the only option we had with availability for the following week. Other doctors were booked weeks or months out. That should have been a sign for me! Dr. Le started off asking my mom some basic questions and was immediately prescribing my mom depression medication within minutes of speaking with her. She was so quick to diagnose my mom with minor depression. I was a little taken back since my mom is usually a really happy person. She sent my mom out of the room after speaking with her for 10 minutes so she can speak with my dad and me privately. I told her a few other stories of why I didnâ??t think my mom was depressed and she quickly told me she wasnâ??t sure if it was minor… depression or dementia and she would like my mom to start on depression pills for 30 days to see how it goes. I told her my concern with her so quickly prescribing my mom medication without talking to her more and she was like I am I the Dr. or you? Seriously where is the respect and compassion? I explained to the Dr. (not sure if I even should call her a Dr.) â?? I only wanted my mom on depression medication if we were 100% sure that she is depressed. The dr. tells me is doesnâ??t know anything for sure but she can guarantee that the depression pills will do no harm whatsoever if my mom were to try them. Seriously!!! Depression pills have tons of side effects! I wish I had a recorder at the time so I could report her for malpractice. Misdiagnoses are possible â?? and it is generally a good idea to get a second opinion. So I told the Dr. that I was uncomfortable with her diagnosing my mom so quickly and I wanted a second. Dr. Le immediately became defensive and was livid. She needs to get off her high horse. She doesnâ??t care about her patients all she wants is $$$. She doesnâ??t want to refer my mom to a neurologist since that wonâ??t be money in her bank. She wants my mom to take unnecessary depression pills so she can get paid!

Her staff is arrogant and uncooperative. She is also just as bad and will not take the time to ask you what is going on in your life. She simply just wants to medicate and send you away

I have got severe depression and often thought of suicide for a long time. Although I use Prozac 40 mg every day, I feel headache all days and could not sleep at nights. I saw the first psychiatrist a year ago and the problem was still there. So, I made an appointment to see Dr. Thuy a week ago. I saw her because no other psychiatrist accepts my CARE 1st Medicare Advantage. I went to her office with an empty head. I don't know what to tell her. I told her to ask me and I answered. After 30 minutes of talking, she gave me Mirtazapine 15 mg and asked me to come back in 3 weeks. I used one before bed time. I slept well that night and, to my surprise, my headache almost went away in the following morning, Now, I feel much better. I thank her very much. I cannot thank enough the scientists who made the medicine.

Very arrogant, makes you feel inferior as well as her unwelcoming staff.
