Dr. Phyllis Nancy Bonaminio, MD

I went to see Dr Bonamonio because my lab results for ANA and sed rate came back high which indicated inflamation. I explained to her what areas of my body were hurting. She didn't even look at those areas. She just went by the blood test results and said I didn't have rhuematoid arthritis. She just dismissed me saying there was nothing she could do to help me.

I went to her after I was dx with sjogrens. I gave her my blood results with the dx. She came in and ask about my symptoms. I explained I had extreme fatigue, dry eye, dry mouth, joint pain etc. She bascially told me my symptoms weren't extreme enough for Sjogrens. When I asked her to explain the positive ANA results and my labs showing me positive for Sjogrens she raised her voice and said, " you do not have an autoimmune disorder." She repeated and documented my medical history incorrectly, even after I corrected her. She told me my fatigue is probably due to sleep apnea, which I do not have. She never even conducted further blood work or asked about other symptoms. She was rude and unprofessional. I left her office upset and with no answers. I later went to an optomologist regarding my dry eye and he confirmed my dx of sjogrens. I went back to the dr who orginally dx me, she conducted further tests and concluded I do have sjogrens. Dr. Bonaminio dismissed me because my symptoms… weren't extreme for her and this is negligent.

I have seeing this Dr. for over 7, 8 yrs. I believe she knows her practice and is a very good Dr. I just would like to see her smile once in awhile. I have heard other patients say the same.

Ignorant and rude didn't want to spend more than 5 minutes with me... Going through signs and symptoms and she just leaves. Answers questions with I don't know... One thing I do know is you should probably go find another career!!!

Phyllis N Bonaminio is a self righteous excuse for a doctor who has ZERO personality and ZERO care or concern for her patients. And I firmly believe that she FAR prefers female patients. Visit her and you will completely understand what I mean ... Far left of "Straight"!

Dr Bonaminio is a very bright, personable physician. I have seen other Rheumatology Specialists. None have helped me as much as she has. And when she injects a joint, you will barely feel it. She is an artist at injections.

I have been to Dr Bonaminio three times, nurse is quite rude, staff is not friendly at all, and the Dr Bonaminio is curt and abrupt. I am looking for a new doctor.

She was excellent and I feel better!

i had a very bad experience with dr. bonaminio. she incorrectly made a diag-nosis that later another rheumatologist had to correct. i am now feeling much better with my new rheumatologist. i would not recommend her.
