Pilar White, MD 9030 Kimberly Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33434 Internist Jo Brooks 21 points just now I have been seeing Dr. White now for over a year. My family moved to the area after my husband retired from the Military after serving 25 years. I have NEVER had such horrible service from any Dr as I have with this Drs. office staff. I was recently hospitalized for heart problems and I couldn’t even get a referral in to see a Cardiologist for a few weeks after being release. Then I came down with Melanoma six months later, and AGAIN, I could not get a referral submitted to my insurance and was left to deal with having to show up to their office the day before and argue with them to submit the referral for my surgery that was scheduled the next day! Now, I have another procedure due for follow up in the Melanoma, and my Dermatologist faxed the referral over THREE times ...but it STILL HAS YET TO BE SENT TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY! This is EXTREMELY UNSATISFACTORY!! By law, they have… “7-10” days to get the referral in (all of which were approved almost immediately by my insurance once they received it), and each time, they took over 10 days!!! When I asked them about this, and their poor reviews they have, I was told “All those reviews came from drug seekers not getting their drugs!” WOW!! Well, I’m NOT a drug seeker!!! I am an average patient just wanting to take care of my health. A heart and skin cancer is not something anyone should play around with! Each time I call, I get the run around. They pass me off from person to person with excuse after excuse! My Dermatologist Office doesn’t even want to deal with them any longer. The staff is rude and VERY INCONSIDERATE. They have no care or concern about their patients health. I will be switching my families Primary Care Dr now and felt that I have been more than patient with this group. PLEASE REVIEW THE COMMENTS AND REVIEWS BEFORE YOU VISIT THIS FACILITY! It will save you A LOT of hassle and heart ache.

I went to Dr White because she was recommended by my insurance as an infectious disease dr. after having been sick for five months with multiple uti infections of different bacteria that were unresponsive to treatment. My first appointment was fantastic and I left there with so much hope. She had me stay on a once a day maintenance dose of an antibiotic for two months and then follow up unless my symptoms worsened. After my visit I talked with a surgeon, a pain management physician, a nephrologist and a gastroenterogist who all agreed that dr white’s advice was unhealthy and they all advised against it. In the five months prior to seeing her, I had already been on 7 different antibiotics including two by IV. Since I was feeling better and I trusted her, I followed her advice. As soon as I finished the two month course of antibiotics I became the sickest yet. I truly looked and felt like I was dying. My kidneys and back flank areas were in so much pain. I went to my follow up and the… first thing she did was tell me that I felt I’ll because I didn’t follow her instructions. She read her instructions out loud from the computer and I told her that I followed them exactly. She proceeded to disagree. My lab work from the week prior were all normal which was part of the challenge for other physicians the past months because anyone could look at me and tell I was sick but my labs kept coming back normal. She ran another urine test while I was there that came back clean. Instead of listening to me, dr white proceeded to tell me that I had a back injury and when I explained that I did not have a back injury and there was no pain in my spine, she tried to tell me that I needed hormones because I must have vaginal dryness WHAT!!! When I explained that there was nothing wrong with my vagina and I was very well educated on hormones and my OBGYN cares for me very well, dr white then concluded that I “must” have fibromyalgia. I explained that I have a doctorate in psychology and I’m a clinical therapist, I do not have fibromyalgia. She looked at me and told me that other than needing hormones (which she did not test) and having fibromyalgia, there was nothing wrong with me. I left there in tears and went straight to a kidney doctor who did in fact listen to me and explain that given the amount of antibiotics I’d had over the past several months, especially everyday for two consecutive months as prescribed by dr white, I likely had a yeast infection in my body (not in the vaginal area where many women get them) but in my body. He put me on diflucan and immediately I felt better. He also ran a urine test in his office same day as dr white and showed me the results that were very abnormal indicating that that there was still an infection somewhere in my body. He assured me that he was only working on a suspicion of a yeast infection but that if his suspicion was wrong, he would personally get on the phone with dr white, my obgyn, my primary care, and every specialist I had seen in the past 7 months for a conference call and get to the bottom of why I was so sick. Fortunately his treatment did work. It cleared up my symptoms enough for the true origin to present itself and about two weeks later I was admitted to the hospital for an emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. I did not have gallstones. I had another condition in which the gallbladder was not functioning correctly and causing a low grade bacteremia. Even if was in a traumatic accident and needed emergency care, I would not let dr white touch me ever again. She sustained my illness, worsened my life situation, and attempted to throw multiple irrelevant diagnoses at me.

Great experience with Dr White. Dr White, the staff and especially Kazi at the front desk really worked with me on my specific appointment requests instead of just brushing me off and took care of me. I really appreciate it and was impressed by all.
