Dr. Pleas Rogers Geyer, MD

While he did make some valid points, he was too arrogant to listen to all the problems. My husband has all the classic signs of ADD and this has been backed up by members of the medical community but Dr Geyer refused to treat him for anything. He wanted to sit there and have a therapy session. He’s a psychiatrist NOT a psychologist.

In the 2 hrs. that my son and I were there, Dr. Geyer asked my son 1 question: "Do you like school?" He sought to incite me, and tried to make my school district look like idiots. He focused on my son's academics, regardless of the fact that my son has had 3 valid IQ tests stating he has an intellectual disability. He refused to focus on the reason that the pediatrician had referred my son: hallucinations. He told me not to come back until I had school records in hand! He spent 30 min with us.

We were forced to wait for nearly 2 hours for Dr. Geyer before we got too upset and walked out with no apology or explanation. The staff paged him multiple times but he never responded. We ended up walking out without anyone caring. Prior to that, Dr. Geyer almost refused to see us because we were 8 minutes late for our appointment. He has no respect for your time and should be avoided.

It's been a long time since I've been a patient of Dr. Geyer. I had a very troubled and difficult childhood, and saw many different psychiatrists and psychologists throughout my childhood and adolescence. Dr Geyer was by far the most insightful and gifted of all of them. I credit him with helping me to realize my own potential, when others did not. I have overcome a very difficult childhood, and grown to be a highly functioning adult. I owe a lot to Dr. Geyer's guidance, focus, insight, and persistence. I had the potential and ability, and he helped me realize and develop it. He isn't a miracle worker, and there are no shortcuts, but given a family's time and commitment, he will do far more than most.

In a nut shell, my son had a conflicting diagnosis from Duck Geyer's. When we decided to go with the other medical opinion, he called the child protection agency on us. Fortunately they decided we were with in our rights to chose the conflicting opinion...you might not be so lucky! Beware he is nasty and vindictive and tries to throw his weight around.
