Dr. Pou Wen Chi, MD

Went in for my knee that's had issues since I hurt it back in May. Took a look at my xray said it's nothing and sent me on my way

First visit I was given a questionare of why I was there and another questionare to see if I had depression. when I went in to see the doctor he asked me what I was there for? apparently he didnt read the questionare. He then took out the one for depression and pointed at the one question I answered yes to, it was, do you have pain in the joints, or something to that matter. I answered yes because thats why I was there. So he points at the fact that I answered yes to this question and proceeds to tell me I have depression...What!!! are you kidding me! so now I have a history of depression just because of this one question! This is a joke! he wanted to give me anti-depressants, which I am aware that they are used to relieve pain as well. I told him I would like to find the cause of my problem and I was not comfortable masking the symptoms with anti-depressents. His answer was "Do you want help or not" are you kidding me. I told him I wanted help to figure out what was causing my… problems. so he prescribed me some pills that were supposed to help me. I went home and looked up what they were, and turns out they are anti-depressents. Second visit. I explained to dr. chi that I had tried a few things but was feeling the same symptoms. I explained to him that I suspected Lyme disease since I worked in an area where deer tick is common and my symptoms are similar. No, he said, I dont think it is. Im gonna give you some 800mg ibupofen.. I would not recommend Dr. chi unless its for a simple blood test. actually even then I would look for someone that cares. Its my opinion that a Dr. can sometimes cause more harm than good. (not all doctors, thank God for who do care)

Horrible bedside manners.could not wait to get out of the room.not in the least interested to hear the patient out.worst of all gave the wrong prescription,cvs pharmacy had to call back and correct it.never ever going to him again.

This Doctor doesnt care about his patients. He prescribed my Father at the same time, Valium, Vicadin, and Codiene at the same time. I went to talk to him while my father was in the emergency dept to see if he could help and not give him any more drugs and he refused. He is the worst. A month later my father thankfully was at another hospital and received a pacemaker and Dr. Chi was informed. He never came and checked on my father. Needless to say we are going somewhere else. Dont send your loved ones to him unless you want them drugged up....

I love my Dr. He remembers me, which is great for a HMO. He asks questions and really listens to your answers.
