Dr. Prachi Mehndiratta, MD

Dr. M. inherited me as a new patient following Dr. K's retirement. She invited me to come in for an intro. appt. so she could get the ball rolling with collecting funds for services poorly performed, if at all. She couldn't care less about my wellbeing, how well I'm fairing on my health journey or about my decline. She doesn't acknowledge my ongoing neurological related struggles and shows no empathy for my waning abilities that cause daily challenge. So, after much pleading with the medical community to see and care for me following yet another fall and being minimized and dismissed, the hemorrhagic stroke happened. My life was on the line. I was hospitalized with great uncertainty about my future. I received several months of both in-patient and out-patient speech, occupational and physical therapy. Dr. M. was aware of my medical history and a genetic testing result that is expected to eventually take away many more of my abilities, including my ability to… speak. I pleaded for Dr. M to sign off on the documents allowing me handicap parking in front of my home and assistance with getting disability. She declined to assist in anyway. As a black woman under Dr. M's care, I do not feel seen, heard, appreciated or respected. If I were a white woman, I'd have handicap parking and disability status and financial support at the ready. I have suffered needlessly under Dr. M's care and would not recommend that anyone female and black entrust her with their very health and life.
