Dr. Pragna Bharat Patel, MD

The previous review sounds exactly like my experience with Dr Patel. I was referred by my family physician when an issue came up with my pap. The doctor came in the room, greeted me, then continuously asked me how I wound up there as my doctor meant to refer me to another specialty. It was to the point that my husband and I felt we should apologize for wasting her time and leave. She has the personality and warmth of a rock. We would ask her questions and I would get responses that seemed like she either didn't know the answer or she was annoyed she had to answer my questions. She made me feel as if I were beneath her. If you like your physician to have no compassion or warmth for their patients then by all means visit Dr Patel. I personally was happy to hear the message that she is no longer practicing at Premier Women's Health. I will say that the nursing staff was terrific and that is why I am staying with the practice but obviously giving another doctor a chance.

She was rude, insulting, and unprofessional. Dr. Patel, was unresponsive to questions and seemed practically cynical. She has a horrible bedside manner and did not keep me informed about results of the appointment. In such an intimate field, she should perhaps be better at keeping her personal opinions and feelings from her previous appointments at the door and actually providing a positive experience for patient care. She treated me with utter disregard to my condition, didn't seem prepared before she came in, and was over an hour late. Dr. Patel also likes to handle her patients more like she is working on the underside of a vehicle. She disregarded previous knowledge of my condition and gave me what sounded like textbook answers. She treated me like I was naive and stupid. This "doctor" even had the nerve to answer a question I asked with a condescending attitude, implying I was vulgar and "promiscuous". If you want the worst, most uncomfortable, undeniably unprofessional, cold… and depressing OB experience you have ever had, I urge you to visit her office and expect a delay upon arrival.
