Dr. Pramila Penta, MD

Dismissive and didn’t have time for anything I had scheduled my appointment for in the original place. She rolled her eyes and was very rude and unprofessional. Approach as a doctor is horrendous. Feel sorry for anyone who crosses her path.

This doctor is a joke. Complained about a possible blood clotting as I saw symptoms appear after a knee injury and ER visit. Instead of asking for tests, she just says that I was low risk and that it was water retention for not moving as much. Continued emailing and getting same answer..."you are low risk based on my guidelines". Spoke with a nurse practitioner, which recommended me to go to ER. Guess what? not only one but two blood clots! Since then, she continues to hesitate to provide additional referrals to monitor this condition. I will be placing a complain to the medical board for her lack of care and misdiagnosis.

Dr. Penta is by far one of the very best G.P.'s I have ever had. Always extends a hand at the time of your visit, soft spoken, explains all procedures and plans for your health in terms that you can understand completely. If you do have questions, you will find you are not troubling her, she will stop and answer any question you have. This past year alone, she has diagnosed me w/Diabetes, high BP, high cholesterol, hyperthyroidism and other abnormalities in which she is following me with very closely. I have C.O.P.D. and have been hospitalized atleast 6 times this past year @ MFS. I'm certain everything Dr. Penta diagnosed me with during this time frame was there, yet gone undiagnosed and untreated. All of which diagnosis' she has found are detrimental to my future health and well being. I did not go in with any specific symptoms leading up to any of these findings. I'm sure that by her completely listening to my complaints, reviewing labs, urines, etc. she was able to determine… diagnosis'. Dr. Penta leaves no page unturned. I am completely satisfied with Dr.Penta as my personal Physician and do not question her as to her plans to help make me well. She is not a pill pusher, in fact, quite the opposite. She will suggest things like, Vitamin D (for depression), luvella, (natural vitamin), used also for anxiety and also depression. I am taking both and feel they are effective. I am also quite impressed with medical transcription and documentation. You are given at the time of visit, paperwork on exactly what transpired during your visit, what the future goals are, what needs to be done now and when she will see you again. You also have the leisure of using the internet to correspond with your Dr. and office. As both a professional Nurse and patient, I am without hesitation documenting this on Vitals for any person/person's out there that may be seeking to find one of the best, if not the best, G.P.'s around the Buffalo and surrounding areas. Dr. Penta is a very compassionate, understanding Dr. who takes her time with you and is not by any means in a hurry with her care. I trust that you won't regret making an appointment with Dr. Penta if you are seeking a General Practitioner with excellent credentials and medical experience.
