Dr. Pramod B Wasudev

Dr. Wasudev is the best surgeon I have ever known. He has done numerous surgeries and procedures on my husband. The one that impressed me the most was years ago when the dermatologist found a place on my husband’s back that turned out to be stage 4 melanoma. We were told that he needed surgery followed by chemo & radiation. The dermatologist wanted him to come in immediately that day. Unfortunately, we were in Atlanta airport waiting for our plane to Hawaii. A very special trip for us. I was ready to go home, but my husband told them he would come in when we got home three weeks later. I had a hard time enjoying that trip & I am positive it was on my husband’s mind as well. We returned, my husband told them Dr. Wasudev was the only surgeon that he would let do the surgery. They scheduled the surgery as soon as possible, it may have been the next day, it’s been awhile. The day of the after the surgery, Dr. Wasudev came to me & asked me to go with him to a conference room. … Several family members went with us, I was so afraid, I had been through this when my father had colon cancer and it was not good news. But, this was so different! Dr. Wasudev told me that the cancer was stage 4 & he had to make a very deep incision, but he had removed every bit of the cancer. He had removed lymph nodes near the cancer and under close to the arm pits. He then looked at me & asked if I understood? I nodded, I was numb, I just knew we were in a fight for his life. Then Dr. Wasudev told me that he had spoken with the oncologist and they agreed no chemo or radiation would be necessary. Later, we were told all lymph nodes showed nothing irregular, no cancer. No doubt in my mind, along with Our Lord’s guiding him, he saved my husband’s life. I wondered if another may not have worked so diligently to rid the body of all the cancer. Dr. Wasudev is a perfectionist and one of the kindest, easy to talk to, sometimes humorous when things were not too serious , most conscientious surgeon in town. Can you tell we love him as a surgeon, but as a wonderful fiend, as well. We are blessed to have known him for many years, His nurse, Lynn, is so sweet and fun loving. Never see her without a sweet smile and such a wonderful heart. She is a wonderful person & we think of her as a friend, as well. She makes me feel better just to be with her. They are both so knowledgeable & kind, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Sorry so long, but this still does not do Dr. Wasudev and Lynn justice.
