Dr. Prasad S. Adusumilli, MD

Was treated by Dr. Adusumilli for a suspicious mass in my lung after years of smoking cigarettes. Thankfully the mass turned out to be benign after a biopsy was taken during a bronchoscopy. Dr. Adusumilli continued to follow up with me two years after the procedure with CT scans on a regular basis and after about two years of clear CT scans, he was confident there wasn’t any cancer in my lungs. Thank you Dr. Prasad Adusumilli.

Dr. Adusumilli has treated me on two occasions, and both times I felt that I received excellent, attentive care delivered to the highest standards. he is a professional, focused on the task at hand -- but he always took the time to put me at ease and keep me well-informed about my surgery. The first time we waited almost two hours for a basic appointment. The Dr. was very concise and caring when we finally saw him. The second time we had scheduled a CAT scan in his office prior to our visit. The CAT scan people were running behind and we waited almost 3 hours for the CAT scan (he should have instructed the CAT scan people to take us stat). After that the Dr went to the hospital to do his rounds so we basically waited 4 HOURS WAITING AND DID NOT SEE HIM. I found this unacceptable as this type of behavior results in complete denial of service.

He is caring, spends time with you, is a great surgeon, and explains things well. I wish all the doctors I have encountered were like him.

Dr. Adusumilli has been looking after me via sloan for a couple of years now. He is one of my heros helping me at a very difficult point in my life. While I was in Memorial Sloan Kettering for an extended stay after surgery, Dr Adusumilli and his team were there checking on me every day including sundays and holidays. He is simply the best. Dr. Adusmill operated on my mom two years ago. She is cancer free. Our family is impressed by his compassion and care. Even though we have to wait during office hours, mom adore him as he devotes all the attention and time when he is with us. I strongl recommend him.
