Dr. Prathima Vemuru Reddy, MD

Wait time is never less than an hour. I've waited over 2 hours with my Mother on more than 1 occasion. I Needed a Doctor's note for Mass Health for their records and to get my Mother approved to be covered by a nrsing home. My Mom was a patient of Dr. Reddy's for over 20 years. Took 7 weeks, 7 phone calls and a Power of Attorney to get a 1 sentence letter that was grammatically incorrect and didn't use upper case for the 1st letter of my last name. I would recommend to anyone to go somewhere else for your Medial needs or for a PCC.

4 hr wait times and double billings is normal

I became a patient of this doctor at least 12 years ago only because I moved to the next town and my primary care physician, Dr. Goldberg who is an excellent doctor was in Cambridge and went into designer practice. I only saw Dr. Reddy for annual visits and the very occasional sick visit. I recently needed a prescription refilled(non narcotic)and the doctor wouldn't return my calls but kept putting it on her staff to tell me to make an appointment which I had every intention of doing but in the meantime needed my medication and she didn't even have the decency to return my call. I would have been able to make an appointment before my prescription ran out had I known that's what the doctor wanted but every time I called her staff would tell me they were going to leave the doctor a note to call in the prescription . It wasn't until I only had a few days left that someone finally told me that the doctor wanted me to come in. I'm an RN and fitness trainer and a very responsible person as… the doctor should know. I have recommended clients to this doctor and will not only never do that again, I am leaving the practice. The arrogance of this doctor infuriates me!

Ok- so I am usually not the type to write reviews like this. Oftentimes when I take the time to write a review, it is because I have had a really good experience with someone or something and want to write a review as a thank you. However, I felt compelled to write this review for those of you looking up his doctor. I was prescribed medicine from this physician a few years ago to help me get through a rough time in my life. I have since tried to tamper off the medicine multiple times and have experience massive withdrawal symptoms. This physician basically wrote off my complaints and told me it was all in my head. You can imagine how upset I was to hear this ( especially after waiting at least an hour to see the doctor in the first place). After I tried to tamper off the medicine ( by myself) for at least a year, I went to see her again because the withdrawal symptoms were absolutely unbearable. She (finally) gave me another pill to help me tamper off my medicine. During this time, I… explored some enlightening information onlineespecially that the FDA sent a statement out warning patients about the withdrawal symptoms months before she prescribed this medicine to me. She did not mention one word about withdrawal symptoms when I was given the medicine and obviously hadnt heard anything about them when I tried telling her my problems. Im not saying she isnt a nice person Im just saying I do not think she does sufficient research on medicine ( especially ones that she gives out). I would advise you to take your time choosing a doctor. One more note: the wait time is ridiculous with this doctor. Heck, I wouldnt mind waiting for a doctor if I knew s/he was good but let me tell you thisthe wait aint worth it!

Dr. Reddy is a womderful doctor and friend. She listens and gives honest reponses. Her staff is friendly and kind. I have been with here for many years and I will not change doctors until we both retire.
