Dr. Pratibha Sharma

My daughter and I went to Dr. Sharma as new patients as we were new in the area and needed to find a local provider. My daughter had diagnosed depression and had been on meds for a few years prior to her visit with Dr. Sharma. My daughter came out of the examination room in tears and told me that Dr. Sharma had rudely suggested to her that maybe she was not really depressed and was just "stressed or going through something." I was appalled. I was not impressed with her during my new patient visit either. She is not compassionate or easy to talk with -- at my second visit with her, she questioned me as to whether I found a job yet (we were on Medicaid at the time). Not her business what my job situation is! In addition, at the two visits I had at her office, there was no receptionist or assistant and Dr. Sharma seems to do everything herself from answering the phone, scheduling the appointments, etc. I got the impression she was having a hard time keeping an office assistant. … She also took a personal call during my appointment and proceeded to argue with whoever was on the other end. Very unprofessional. Needless to say, we switched to another PCP.

I had same problem as another patient on here-we that are over weight know it and don't need to be criticized by this woman. After 3 or 4 visits I never went back. She would order tests for me and tell me to come back in 2 weeks and then when I would ask for results from tests she asked me what test? Unbelievable!! She would ask personal questions that had nothing to do with my health-like was I using a state provided phone. She doesn't like people who are on Medicaid!!! Like you're a leper. The last straw came when I was the only patient and she kept me waiting over an hour while she argued on the phone with someone she had made a purchase from!! I walked out and have never gone back-if you like being treated like a second class citizen than she's your pick lol

very rude and unprofessional

I went to see Dr. Sharma recently. I have several medical issues, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, COPD, etc. etc. I managed to get to speak maybe a couple of times, but she spent ten minutes with me and within that ten minutes, she said it was MY FAULT for all of my illnesses, if I took better care of myself, I wouldn't have the problems I do, she said, I had no one to blame but myself, that I needed to also find GOD, get into a church, and learn to meditate. She talked to me like a child and although I does have control over some of the medical issues, she offered no advise on how to "get better" on my own. She was short with me, didn't letme speak, (I tried to interrupt her so she could listen to some of my medical history, but she was too busy talking at me to listen to what I had already tried and been through. I wouldn't recommend her. Her staff seemed like she was either new, or didn't have a clue what to do and she was late coming into the office and rushing around.… Might be why she was rushing me. Ten minutes isn't long enough for a new patient, and if she didn't have time to spend with me, the appointment shold have been made at another time. I was terribly angry at her attempting to select my religious beliefs in the very short time I were there. Find someone else.

Dr Sharma and her staff were very courteous and professional. Dr Sharma accurately addressed my health issues and provided a prompt advice. My visit to Dr Sharma's office was a pleasant experience. I will recommend Dr Sharma to all my friends.
