Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I went into medicine because I love helping people be the best version of themselves, and I love science. My work in sleep medicine allows me to help improve the sleep quality and daytime functioning of patients who are suffering from sleep-wake disorders.What I want my patients to know about me:I start with finding out what a typical 24-hour period in each patient's life looks like. Then I identify issues that may be triggering or exacerbating the patient's complaints. The mechanisms of how these issues are disruptive are explained, because I believe this is the understanding that leads to a more successful transformation. I will order the appropriate testing, explain results and treatment options.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
