Dr. Praveen Kumar Bolarum, MD

Dr. Bolarum's policy is to see patients every three months. If you need a refill on a non-controlled substance, you will need to be seen so this guy can make more money. I have never had to be seen so much by a physician until I established Dr. Bolarum as my PCP. If you like taking off work nonstop, this is your guy.

I scheduled my appointment with Shannon, she was very helpful over the phone and kind and basically walked me through the visit. When I got to the Clarksburg office Shannon was the one that greeted me, took my blood pressure and what not. She is very welcoming, kind and seems to know a lot. She asked many questions that gave the doctor the information she needed before she even walked in. Then Abra came in and she was also very warm and kind, she really seemed to listen to me just as Shannon said. Then when I left Shannon gave me blood work info, referrals and even helped me schedule one of them the great thing was she smiled the entire time and although I was really nervous in the beginning I was very calm and relaxed leaving. I love this doctors office. Since my visit I have told several friends about my experience and they too have made appointments. It is very hard to find an excellent doctor anymore with excellent staff. If I could give more starts I certainly would. These two… ladies are the type of people you want to see when you go to a doctors office. Thank you to them both.

If I could give this office no stars I would. I have been going to them for over ten years, they went down hill very quick. The place is so dirty, pretty sure they have not swept or mopped in a month. They will also keep you waiting for over an hour while the office is completely dead. I gave my insurance card which has my name on it. Gave my birthday date, address, phone number and they still put me as a different patient. I get prescribed narcotics and it wasn’t until I walked away I noticed that it was under someone else with a completely different name birthdate address, etc. The other patient now is deleted out of the system since they added my address and all my information in it. After the doctor hands you a controlled medicine she will always ask if you want something else too. A few times I have wondered how this place is still licensed but what do I know. It’s also putting teeth to get a doctor to call you back. It’s been a week and I’m still waiting.

Would rate 0 stars if possible. I went to the Clarksburg office for Dr. Bolarum for about 8 months, as it was the only option for my insurance in my area. I take Strattera for ADHD, and he told me that I because of this I had to COME IN once per month because it is a "controlled substance." It isn't a controlled substance- I know that because I have taken it for 15 years and never had any such requirement imposed by other doctors. I showed him documentation that it isn't. He insisted that I schedule 1 appointment per month. For 8 months, he charged me $150 per visit to do a "med check." During those checks his nurse would take my blood pressure and vitals, I would wait for 10 minutes for the doctor, he would come in, write the prescription, ask me if I had any other complaints, and leave. Sometimes it wasn't doctor Bolarum, but someone else (whose name I can't remember). The other doctor who worked there barely spoke ANY English, seemed to have never read my chart (as I would… have to explain to her, multiple times, why I was there and why I took the medications I take) and was extremely rude. The last time I used him, one of his nurses laughed at my weight when I stepped on the scale. I filed a complaint with them but never heard back. 0/5, avoid this doctor like the plague. He just wants to bill your insurance as much money as possible and will do anything in his power to get you coming in as often as possible to do so.

The staffs are really bad and rude. Not recommended for anyone!!!

To begin with the staff are incompetent, rude and lie to cover their tracks. Trying to get them on the phone is impossible you are kept on hold forever. Doctors don't react to your requests till you have called back many times and they have no understanding of your medical problems.

Dr B's practice has gotten much better !

I had a great visit with Dr. Bolarum. He has a very pleasant staff. I would recommend this Dr. to everyone.

Employees are terrible and the practice is even worse

I'm writing this review regarding the service I received at the 3390 Urbana Pike office in Frederick MD. The ladies at the front desk were not polite, friendly or even knowledgeable. The Nurse Practitioner (Barbra Bonsu) I met with was very rude. She fits well with the overall feel of this office (Not Good). I placed a call earlier morning requesting a doctor's note and I still have not heard back from anyone as of yet. If you are looking for a professional PCP's office this is not the one for you.
