Our group has recently closed our private practice on K Street and joined the Mercy Medical Group. We are pleased and excited to be part of the Dignity Health Neurosciences Program.

Between the 5 of us we offer comprehensive Neurosurgical care for brain and spine conditions. My particular expertise and practice is primarily devoted to neurotrauma and surgery for cervical and lumbar spine problems, with expertise in cervical disc replacement and fusions, lumbar disc surgery, sciatica, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease with back pain, spondylolisthesis, and lumbar fusions. I have considerable expertise with minimally invasive technologies so that many of our cervical and lumbar spine surgery patients are able to go home the same day or the next morning after operation.

For those with vertebral compression fractures we offer kyphoplasty, and for those with \"failed back syndrome\", comprehensive evaluation and treatment including spinal cord stimulation.

Educational …Background: Graduate of Stanford University with M.D. from University of California. Board Certified in both Neurosurgery and Internal Medicine. Member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national Medical Honor Society. Clinical Faculty at University of California, Davis Medical Center. Chair of Neurosurgery at Sutter Medical Center and recently appointed the new Chair at Mercy General Hospital starting 2016.

He really took the time to explain my condition, came up with a plan & answered all my concerns. Very refreshing because I feel like I've been very dismissed during this entire time, which will be going on 8 months!

It's been just a year since I first met with Dr. Prasad and his team. MRIs of my lower back and neck showed severe deterioration of spinal canals and discs. The pain in my lower back and legs was crippling. Dr. Prasad clearly explained what was happening to my spinal system, how it wouldn't get better without treatment, and what my options were to relieve the pain. Dr. Prasad was so compassionate and patient. By the grace of God, I was directed to a true physician, one who cared for me more than the process. There was no feeling of being rushed through consultation, nor was I pushed for a quick decision. I knew what to expect from surgery. Given the severity of my spinal stenosis, Dr. Prasad and his team saved my life. I treasure his compassion and dedication to his patients. He is a true physician.

Very caring and knowledgeable. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Prasad. He really tailors a treatment plan for the individual, instead of just doing what's most commonly done.

Dr Prasad and his PA Jennifer Bowman are the best. They took the time to explain the surgery, what it would entail and the healing time. They both came into the hospital room to check on me after the surgery. The surgery went well thanks to the talent and commitment of both of them. Office staff is very responsive and caring, Maria went above and beyond in getting some answers to questions for me.

Just had back surgery he was the best all the way around found my problem and fixed it .And I don't think I will have any more problems at all once it heals. He and his pa Jenifer Bowman were both awesome and all of his staff were also perfect in every way cant thank you all enough you made a scarey experience ok

Dr.Prasad is a very professional and friendly person .I highly recommend him to any one who is in need of the type of care that he specializes in. I am now pain free after my back surgery and to do any thing that I want to ( with some caution to the consiquenses that I didn't have before ) and I also have met a friend !

Dr. Prasad was "EXCELLENT" !!! he went above & beyond my expectations , I am so thankful he didn't give up on me , my surgery was not an easy one to say the least , Because of his skill and ability I can now walk normal again, he has given me back my life . he has compassion , great bedside manor and he's good looking !! what more could a girl want? All kidding aside ,I would highly recommend Dr. Prasad . I can not Thank him enough for the excellent care and for what he has done for me. Thank You Dr.Prasad your the best !!!
