Dr. Priya Malik, MD

So bad! I was changing a primary physician, so I thought I would try her. She did not listen, did not answer my questions and only asked what pills do I need. Stared at the computer most of the time. Then I had nausea for several days in a row, and she again avoided answering what it might be and what to do. I managed to get to another doctor, she asked me a couple of questions and said it may be GERD. The test confirmed it. The only question I have left is how Priya Malik who claims to be a GI specialist could not even diagnose a basic stomach disease.

I came from another Dr. (Susan Salazar) that was just awful and I had just found out I had a suspicious lump and was awaiting the diagnosis of whether it was Breast Cancer or not. I moved over to Dr. Malik and-- that was the day I found out it was Cancer. She took both my hands and looked me in the eye and explained everything that was to occur from the Mastectomy to the chemo. She put my mind at ease during a time of complete freak out. I will always be reminded of her wonderful way that she and her staff took care of me during all of it. Yes I would definitely recommend Dr. Priya Malik if you are looking for a great doctor and very thoughtful person.

Dr. Malik is personable and a good physician, but I always feel rushed and she doesn't take my input seriously. I firmly believe that we know our bodies best, so if I have a physical complaint, I'd like it to be taken seriously and not dismissed with an explanation that "that's just the way it is as our bodies age." The hand numbness I mentioned to her several times over the years has finally progressed to the point of being scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery, when it seems that there should have been some earlier intervention and treatment.
