I was put into Forest View involuntary, they gave me medication without consulting with this doctor. When I did see him it was for short period of time and it was only to discuss how the medication was making it hard for me to think. So instead of changing it he would add another medication to counter act that medication. I don't think it was the medications fault but more or less a misdiagnosis of a condition that does not exist. Some people might of gotten the help they needed. but I didn't...

Dr. Singla is the only doctor at Forest View Psychiatric Hospital I would ever recommend. Unlike his colleagues, Dr. Puneet Singla takes the time to listen to your problems, and, if you are concerned, so is he. He is extremely knowledgeable about medications and medicine in general. He helped me through a very tough manic phase and I don't know what I would have done in Forest View without him. When I had a miserable hypertensive crisis from panic during my in-patient stay, Dr. Singla was contacted from home and he demanded I go to the ER. The ER treated me poorly, in that they did not treat me at all, and Dr. Singla was livid. He came to see me first-thing the next morning after my trip to the ER and told me how sorry he was and prescribed me a blood pressure medication that I was in desperate need of. His bedside manner is, pardon my expression, almost to die for. I told this poor doctor, "I see dead people," referring to patients who had been discharged, and he understood that I was… very, very confused. He also put me in the high-risk ward, but I can forgive him for that. After all, I was very, very confused. When I finally was ready to leave the hospital, and continue into the out-patient treatment program, Dr. Singla saw me every day and continued to listen to my concerns and even my own suggestions for medications based on personal experience. He is the best psychiatrist I have ever known, and it's really a shame you can only see him at your worst.

I just had my very first appointment with Dr. Singla today. I found him to be very kind and patient. Even though I was nervous, he seemed to understand that. I really feel as though he talked to me as though I were an important individual and not just another client.Although my session with him was only supposed to be about 30 minutes long, he kept me for about 60 minutes because he had no patients scheduled directly after me.He also appeared to be very knowledgeable, as he should be, when talking about which medication options were available for me. He explained in depth why he thought which medication would be best (it was Zoloft) and why (because it comes in the smallest dosage, which makes it easier to adjust).I really do think he's a *great* doctor and would definitely recommend him to anyone who asked!
