I feel very confident that this Doctor is taking care of me!

Dr. Shah is very good at what he does. He made me feel comfortable by clearly explaining what the angiogram was and how it was done. On the day of the procedure, he put in a lot of effort and did a thorough job. I had very little discomfort. Dr. Shah had a few teams doing different jobs in the operation room. Every team came to greet me and explained what they would do. Everyone there cared about me. Nurses Jennifer, Sherry and Chris were very pleasant and thoughtful. Everybody on that floor (3rd?) was very helpful. My experience in Abington Hospital is memorable. I love everyone there who helped me. Everyone!

Dr. Shah saved my husband's life. He is the absolute best doctor I have ever known. He is brilliant, yet humble and approachable. He deserves 20, not 5 stars! There is no way to give him all the credit he deserves.

My unfortunate sudden health event several years ago led to my fortuitous encounter with Dr. Shah a very courteous, friendly, considerate, enthusiastic and eminently knowledgeable physician. I am very grateful to have been in his care. He is most highly recommended. Six stars!

Dr. Shah has an amazing ability to accurately define the need or lack of need to perform surgery. While doing my angiogram in Oct. 2010, he could tell right away that the annurism on my right carotid artery was old, but that I was not born with it. His advice, was for me to have a cat-angiogram a year later, which I have done...and as he had expected, (and I had hoped!), there was very little change (and the miniscule difference could have been due to the different machine that is now being used). I will be having another cat-angiogram next year (2012)...He also reiterated any physical changes that I should be aware of, should they arise before my next test. At this time however, the prognosis looks great. Also, Dr. Shah never seems rushed when I see him, even though I know he is a very busy surgeon.

Dr Shah has excellent bedside manner, knows his field and takes the time to ensure that the patient and family understands the diagnosis and options. He is quick to follow up and in this age when doctors are too busy to return calls, he always does.
