Dr. Quentin Blackshear Allen, MD

I play tennis and golf and had cataracts in both eyes. I was losing night vision and peripheral vision at age 68. I chose the multi focal lens in the right and progressive pan optix in the left. The process was very easy with no pain during or after. Highly recommend Dr. All and his staff and two other friends in Jupiter have selected him recently.

I was the worst patient ever! Absolutely petrified of cataract surgery!!! I must share with anyone considering Dr. Allen and his staff....I most highly recommend him and them! Surgeries were a complete success with no pain whatsoever. I can see clearly! What a gift!

I want to write a big thank you to Quentin B Allen M.D. of the Florida Vision Institute and Treasure Coast Center for Surgery in Stuart, Florida. Dr. Allen performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. I have worn glasses every day for 55 years. I now don’t need glasses – pretty amazing. Besides my wonderful vision – the whole process was professional and compassionate. Dr. Allen’s office staff was top notch. The surgery center was efficient and kind. I was well cared for by all who treated me.

During my first meeting with him, Dr. Allen made me feel very comfortable because of his care and explanation of my treatment.

Being told that I needed cataract surgery in both eyes (in my mid-60s) was, frankly, frightening. Dr. Allen was recommended to me by several people as being "the best", and, boy was that right. From first consultation through to my final check-up after the second eye was worked on, Dr. Allen was friendly, informative and super-efficient - as were all his staff. When I rolled up for my first operation, I knew exactly what was going to happen and what to expect afterwards. I was apprehensive...for all of five minutes. Come time for the other eye, and it was like going back to see friends. When my ops come up in conversation with friends and neighbors these days, its quite amazing how many people have already heard of Dr. Allen.

My primary care Doctor recommended Dr. Allen for my impaired vision. I was hesitant to have any surgery on my eyes even after I was diagnosed with cataracts by Dr Allen. However his concern and confidence in the outcome and his knowledge and experience convinced me to go through the implant of the multi focal intraocular lens. It’s has been 3 days and I have tossed my glasses! My experience from appointment to surgery to follow-up has been timely, professional and caring. I would highly recommend Dr Allen and his team.

My husband had cataract surgery and the IOL implant last Thursday and has already had an incredible increase in his vision. The entire experience was incredible, from the diagnosis to the procedure, to the follow-up. All involved in the process were so very knowledgeable and kind, as well as kindly informative. Decided to try Dr. Allen after moving to Florida and needed to have a new Physician. After doing my due diligence, I felt he was the best DR for me. My cataract surgery was easy and painless. I opted for a new lens called symphonic that while pricier than other options I felt it would be the best for me as I no longer wanted to wear glasses, or haul around cheaters. I was extremely near sighted and had previous Lasik surgery which made this trickier. I am happy to say it was a success! Thanks DR. Allen!
