Dr Alley did an outstanding job on my knee, as well as my daughter's. Everyone at the surgery center was outstanding and certainly made me feel like I was the most important person there.

He failed to tell me, what to do once the pain subsided, so I went to another doctor at another practice. Moreover, he was more interested in the students he was with than with me, and gave ridiculous advice that I shouldn't run, or ride a bike outside because I could be hit by a car. What kind of world does he live in? Sorry if I'm harsh, but he should pay attention to his patients.

Dr Alley operated on my ankle in Dec. He was very straight forward and told me why I needed the surgery and what would happen if I didn't. Prior to the surgery in my room, he was very good at explaining what to expect and even came in with my first post op visit already scheduled. He provided me with adaquate meds for pain management. He even told us how long before it was healed and it seems like it will be right on target.

My husband and I have both seen Dr. Alley for various issues. We find him to be both compassionate and honest. He tells it like it is which I appreciate. We would highly recommend him!

This doctor is a too-busy nightmare with absolutely no bedside manner. I went to him with a painful and fluid-filled knee. He was mentoring a blooming medical student at the time who watched over our visit with my permission. First, my knee was fluid filled and largely swollen. This doctor never cleaned my knee nor did any nurse. He also never anesthetized the knee. Without any prior cleaning or alcohol use or betadine, he simply jammed a large needle in the knee which I found to be excruciating and aspirated some fluid. He believed I overreacted to the extreme pain. I asked him if the fluid should be checked, that perhaps it would have some valuable information, and he dismissed my suggestion as not important since the fluid wasn't "cloudy." When I asked him for something for pain (I am in my sixties) he went on a tirade about "opiates" and how "anyone who takes them WILL become addicted." He indicated that he does not "believe" in pain medication and that people should… become used to coping with pain. Well, if he thinks he will operate on my knee and send me home and tell me to take an aspirin he can go screw himself. I am not a teenager and I will not live with pain unnecessarily. He put on a great show for the med student. To make matters worse, he sent a totally false written report to my primary care doctor indicating that he had injected 3% lidocaine into my knee as an anesthetic and that the knee had been disinfected and cleaned with betadine, neither of which occurred. He is a malpractice case waiting to happen.....

I saw Dr. Alley for my knee, and ended up wishing he did hips, as well. He provided excellent care, took time to consider the knee-hip problems and discuss options, and made a recommendation for future care. He also treated my knee pain very well! A really good doc whom I've recommended to others.

Dr Alley operated on my shoulder (Bankart repair)14 years ago and did a great job... no problems since and I ski, surf and do whatever I want.

I have been with Dr. Alley for more than 10 years now. I have never been more comfortable with a doctor or surgeon. He takes time for me, while still very professional. I would recommend Dr. Alley with no hesitation.
