Dr. Rachel Suzanne Hollister, MD

Lacks bedside manner and communication skills. She gets very nervous and annoyed when things don't go her way. She doesn't listen and was very forgetful. The lack of focus made it difficult to take her seriously.

Rachel has been my Dr. for 15 years. She takes the time with you. Other Dr. just come in, look at your numbers, tell you to eat better and get more exercise and leave. She talks with you, engages you and you leave feeling she actually cares about your health & wellness.

She often runs late but it is because she spends so much time with her patients. She is truly amazing and well worth the wait.

Horrible bedside manner. She dictated notes from my visit. When I asked her questions she seemed annoyed that she had to actually talk to me--apparently I was supposed to pay attention to her dictation and understand the nonsense she recorded. I personally would never elect to see her again.

Hollister has been my doctor for 16 years. She is very thorough and takes as much time with her patients as she needs, which can put her behind schedule. She has been much more prompt in my past couple appointments with her, because more time is given per appt. When I applied for SS disability she called my lawyer personally, which he said is unheard of. After any procedure or test she immediately mails the results. I have total confidence in her.

I am writing this review so that I can save someone from having the same experience as me. Dr. Hollister put me through one of the worst and most traumatic experiences of my life. 18 weeks pregnant and having bloody urine, she forced me to give a urine sample by catheter that I later was told was not necessary. The pain from the catheter sample (she was extremely rough) was so excruciating I went into shock afterwards. The nurse had to stay by my side and calm me down. What makes me the most upset is that she coerced me into doing something I pleaded with her to not have me do, because it was easier for HER. She told me it would be easier than doing an ultrasound and after it was finished, promptly scheduled me for an ultrasound. She sent an order in for the wrong ultrasound and also sent my prescription to the pharmacy in the WRONG NAME! All in all, I was treated like her little science experiment. She was very crass and distant. She did not care about the pain she put me in, only… that she extracted a sample from her specimen, so to speak. She should NOT be working with pregnant women, doing things to put them into shock and lying to them. It was the worst experience of my life and it will take me a long time to get over. Switching clinics completely because I am so hurt.

Easy to relate to, friendly, smart. There can sometimes be a bit of a wait to see her, but it is always worth it. She always makes sure to address all of your concerns during your visit. Highly recommend.

Rachel is an excellent doctor. She runs behind schedule because she gives excellent care. In my opinion she is worth the wait. I have been going to her since she was a new doctor.
