Hate to sound cliche, but if I could give 0 stars, I would. Don't understand where the positive reviews come from. Maybe they're entered into a drawing for a basket of skincare products Brought my son there because his acne was flaring up. As I'm filling out paperwork, there's a section dedicated to providing your credit card info. What is this for, you ask? Well, when insurance will only cover part of your visit, this gives them the authority to just go ahead and charge your card. How convenient. I did NOT provide my credit card info nor sign this section. Why give that when you have insurance? Follow me, if you will, to the front desk to hand in our papers. The receptionist then tells me that I have a $200 copay. I tell her we don't have copays on our insurance and anything insurance doesn't cover gets billed. She then explains that it's their "office policy" to collect up front. My son really needs to see the dr, so I put it on my card. I text my ex who is the primary… name on my son's insurance to tell him what's going on. He calls them and they give him the whole speech about office policy and also tell him that part of that money is a "new patient fee". I was never told that. She told him that if I am owed any money, I can call them back with my card info and they will issue a refund. Insurance can take months. Off we go into the exam room. The PA (I guess) takes our info. At this point, our 6pm appointment is approaching 7 pm. Dr Kushner comes in, talks to my son, finds out history, looks at his face, etc. Nothing spectacular. She's going to prescribe some medications that have to be filled at this special mail order pharmacy that she uses because "brand names are better". What? I have NEVER in my life had a Dr or a pharmacist say that. I'm thinking this woman must have some special interest in this mail order place. I ask if insurance covers this pharm and was told by PA that they should, or if not, they have discounts. Why did they ask for my local pharmacy info? Look at other reviews. We are not alone. Then, Dr Kushner goes on to talk about doing some type of peel for my son and I can find out fees at front desk. Ummmm....I don't think so. Exam took about 10 minutes. We go to front desk to schedule follow up appointment (which I am going to cancel, but make sure it's more than 24 hours, because more money, more money, more money!) and I ask "Will I be charged again for next visit?" I am told yes, because (come on, say it with me) IT'S THEIR OFFICE POLICY to collect ahead. But no worries, because we probably met our deductible and it will only "be something like 20%". I told her that I have never been to a doctor that does this and once again "office policy". I told her I need my money, but who cares? Do NOT go to this Dr. What is the purpose of insurance if they're going to make you pay ALL up front? Why take insurance? Sad thing is, I got her name from Blue Cross' list of doctors in the network. I feel stupid for giving her my card and should've just said I didn't have it on me, but would she have turned us away? I honestly think this money-hungry female dog would. Never going back and am spreading the word.

The awesome reviews must be from friends or colleagues. I highly doubt they are from real patients. Be practical .. find a real dermatologist or waste your time and energy going there. Or find yourself writing a real review as I am.

Dr. Kushner is pleasant and professional . I like the services I received as a new, then returning patient. The PA Maggie was equally pleasant and professional. I didn't like the occasional extended wait time prior to being escorted to the exam room at which time there has always been prompt service by the technician while awaiting the doctor or PA who are with you momentarily. I would definitely recommend Dr Kushner to a friend.

I was pleased and very satisfied, I would definitely recommend Dr. Kushner. She was knowledgeable and listened to what my concerns were.
