Rachel Silver is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and licensed by the state of Illinois to practice and prescribe medicine. She grew up in Northbrook, IL and went on to complete her B.S. in Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Rachel received her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is a member of several professional organizations such as Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

Rachel has received extensive specialized training in dermatology from her physician colleagues. Rachel is qualified to perform full-body examinations, diagnose, treat and prescribe appropriate therapy for all dermatologic conditions. She is skilled and experienced in performing biopsies, cryotherapy, minor surgical procedures and neurotoxin injections. Rachel is passionate about treating all of her patients like family while providing high-level medical and cosmetic dermatologic care.

When not in the office, Rachel can be found spending time with her husband, who is a pediatric dentist. They enjoy traveling and discovering all of Chicago’s newest restaurants. Rachel is also fluent in Russian.
