Dr. Racquel Norada Ramirez-Dolleton, MD

I would not trust this Dr. or the Caring Family Practice ever again. I'm very uncomfortable for me since this has been my PCP for over two decades but now feel betrayed due to an opinion by a baby dermitoligist concerning a horrible case of plaque psoriasis. Both Caring Family, & Dr. Ramirez are fired. Also Derick Dermatology is fired. In particular so called Dr. Rommel is fired.

Doctor Ramirez is just awesome!

Seems right out of medical school, though shes not. Doesn't really examine your problem nor care about it, orders blood tests and sends you on your way. Takes days to call you back and over an hour waiting time every visit, seeking a new practice now.

I saw her for second time. Each time I questioned her Rx with existing medications & conditions. She is always in a hurry & claims it is fine. First visit prescription was wrong for me. Today she was rushed after I waited an hour. She was not interested in my problems & claimed I had a UTI. Gave me a prescription that I questioned. Same story it will be fine. Pharmacist came out & was very concerned about my taking it with current meds. Skip her if you value your life.

She is very nice and very friendly, but I always feel rushed when I go in to see Dr. Ramirez, I feel like she does not really take the time to carefully consider or diagnose issues. On more than occasion I felt like she totally wrote off my concerns as being "totally normal" or "I don't really see what you are talking about"

I have been seeing Dr Ramirez for about ten years. When I first moved here from Chicago I knew I wanted a female Dr. She was my first try and have been very pleased with her ever since. She has helped me and supported me thru death of a daughter, surgeries, and most of all Cancer. I know I can always depend on her and her staff who have gotten to know me over the years. Best decision I ever made.

Two years ago, I sustained a sports injury to my back playing volleyball. Upon making an appointment with Dr. Ramirez, I was told it was "probably a bladder infection." When the results came back and proved it was not a bladder infection (I could have figured that out myself) she prescribed me muscle relaxers and sent me on my away. She never once thought of having x-rays done even given the fact I could not walk due to pain. After some physical therapy the pain decrease but never fully went away. For two years I have been under the assumption I have strained muscles. Just recently I went to a chiropractor who took x-rays and found out I have 1 old fracture on my lower lumbar which caused a second fracture. Now, at 18 years old, I have a third fracture forming all do to the idiocy of one doctor that misdiagnoses and does not investigate her patients problems in entirety. Do yourself a favor and go to an EDUCATED doctor.

I'm new to the Crystal Lake area, and i'm very adament about researching the dr that I find, before moving, I was still driving over 50 mils 1 way to my dr that I had been seeing for 10 years. Honestly any woman will say that a Pap is the worst part of getting an exam, I usually hold my breath the entire time. Not only did Dr. Ramirez make light conversation to distract me during the pap but it was barely noticeable, I couldn't believe it!!!! By far the best pap i've ever had in my life (i'm early 30's) she's awesome. Very personable. i've been seeing her for a year. The only downside is that it does take a few days for her (or staff) to get back to you about prescription refills, and/or sometimes she will want you to come in prior to refills, which means a copay plus your refill copay (if any) but everything else about her is excellent! And she's young enough that she is up on everything that is currently happening around us. She shows genuine concern about how unemployment affects… her patients.

My visit Dr. Ramirez was wonderful. She honed right in on the problem and was very proactive in treating my diabetes.
