Dr. Radha Krishna Balagani, MD

I have been with this Doctor for 24 years he helped me with my first born all my kids love him and my husband and myself! He may be old school, but gives you the facts smart man! He knows what he is talking about and that’s all there is to it! I highly recommend him!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I'm surprised at the number of people who have had problems with him. He diagnosed my GERD when my previous doctor was unable to and I had undergone a ridiculous amount of tests and blood work with no relief. He is definitely old school, and he tends to search for an over the counter or homeopathic solution before prescribing medicine. I like that he doesn't just jump to medicine for a solution. I will say that when I had a PPO, I was irritated at the repeat office visits at $125 each. Overall, he's a little hard to understand at times, but he's always been very good at listening to my problems and trying to find a cheaper solution when possible.

My father was a patient of dr. Balagani for close to 20 years. Over the last several years he seem to dismiss any complaints, does not listen to patients needs, does not order proper tests. All this resulted in visit to ER and 4 day hospitalization. The hemoglobin level when we got to ER was 3.4. This all could have been avoided if proper blood test was ordered during last physical which was just several weeks ago! There were symptoms already at that time which my father did discuss but the dr summed it up as result of getting old- my dad is 69.

Terrible physician who has the bedside manner and compassion of a dead toad! Should stop practicing medicine!

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom. After her physical, she was asked to come back into the office just to review her test results, which could have easily been discussed over the phone. Instead, this doctor insisted that she came in and charged her a visit fee, which should have been part of her annual check-up. $175 to read through the annual results and prescript medication that did not require additional follow-up tests....completely unprofessional and scams patients. Definitely would not recommend him.

Does not listen to your cares or needs

I have been a patient of his for 3yrs and am now seeing another doctor. When he diagnosed me with COPD & told me that the disease is not curable & would keep progressing, you can imagine that I had some questions due to fear. When I asked him questions he was very rude & was very irritated, it was as if I was bothering him. He actually got very annoyed & made me feel guilty for asking questions. I have since gone to another doctor.

Just a warning to make sure that if he says that he wants you to come back in a week for a follow up, that he bills it as a follow up. He charged me for another office visit when it should have been under continuum of care. Had he not said to come back for a follow up, I wouldn't have com in...especially if I knew hew was going to charge me $125 for the office visit.

Dr Balagani was great at diagnosing me, but if only he had more patience and time. I see another dr at the practice group who listens to my concerns, etc. Maybe its his nature but he came off as quite rude. I am not used to that at all.
