Good doctor with a great staff to support the office. No huge wait to be seen like it can be at other offices.

I saw Dr. deAyala throughout my whole pregnancy, he was always attentive to my needs and always put baby and my health first. I was a high risk patient, and always felt like I was in great hands with his treatment plan. Thanks to him we welcomed a healthy baby girl earlier this month! His bedside manner was great, he always checked in on me to make sure I was taken care of at the hospital. If you're looking for an experienced, caring OB who looks out for his patients, then I definitely recommend Dr. deAyala!

I'm currently pregnant for the first time. I'm of "advanced maternal age" and expecting twins. Doctor was recommended by a friend, who happens to be a nurse, and was able to delivered her second baby vaginally after having had a c-section with her first baby. Dr. DeAyala has delivered thousands of babies, has experience with complicated pregnancies, multiples, etc. He is confident, you can tell from the get go he knows exactly what he's doing. He is very attentive and patient with my questions and takes the time to explain in detail (even draw if necessary), making sure everything is understood. I trust my life and the lives of my babies in Dr. De Ayala. I highly recommend him and his staff-they have always been nice, fast, responsive and dedicated.

Dr. DeAyala was nice enough when her first came in and apologized for the wait. He had a scheduled C-section that ran later than expected and held him up from later appointments-which is completely understandable. It was my first prenatal visit with him, and I had a few questions on what flexibility he allows in labor and delivery and his choices when conducting an emergency c-section. Considering that in the case of an emergency this might be the person whose hands my life is in, I do not think it is beneath ANY surgeon to answer a few questions. His demeanor was fine during standard questions that most people would ask (can I move around in labor, can my husband cut the cord or catch the baby, etc.). He became much more aggressive and demeaning when he was asked if he does sutures or staples after a C-section, and if he does a double or single layer of sutures. He either did not know what I was asking or pretended not to with the last. I have had a baby before, and my previous… doctor(out of state) knew exactly what I was asking when I asked if she did a single or double layer of sutures. The reason for asking this question is that a double layer of sutures on the uterus is associated with significantly less risk of uterine rupture for the mother in the future. I will not stay with a doctor who does a single layer. Instead of answering the question he gave me the name of the type of suture he does-I am not a medical professional and do not have suture techniques memorized, in the same way that I am not a sailor and do not have the different knots that can be made on a rope memorized. He then went on a tangent on how he has dealt with Bradley Methods and birth plans and he can play that game. "I can play that game." That is a direct quote from the person who may have the lives of both you and your child in his hands, should you choose to go to him. I am neither a student of the Bradley Method or someone who writes out my birth plan. I am someone who wants to know all of my options when it comes to the health of myself and my family. He then went on that he would not change his way of practicing medicine because I read some article and gave me (a college graduate and DONA trained doula, who has read more than a few books and peer reviewed scholarly articles on prenatal care, labor and delivery) a lecture on the difference between peer reviewed articles and unsubstantiated claims circulating the internet. If you would like a doctor who is open about his practice without feeling threatened by questions he is not used to answering, this is not the one to go to. He is probably very cordial with someone who blindly follows anything someone with a medical degree says.

Staff is very friendly and caring. Overall great experience

Yesterday was my first prenatal visit with Dr. Deayala. Im currently 14 weeks pregnant expecting twins. I was being seen previously by Dr. Pellicina but decided to switch because she only delivered out of NW Memorial Hermann(only NICU 1&2), and with me being pregnant with twins I wanted to deliver at a Hospital that had a NICU level 3. Dr. Deayala delivers out of Memorial Hermann Memorial City (which has a NICU Level 3) so I made an appointment with him. However, before my appointment I was skeptical about him as my OB-GYN because he was new to the Houston area from Laredo and I could not find any reviews about him online. I tried booking other doctors at Memorial Hermann Memorial City but they wouldn't except me because I was 14 weeks pregnant and their cut off time was 12 weeks. So I decided to give Dr. Deayala a try. I must say I was so glad that I did. As soon as I walked in the door all of his staff was so welcoming, and Dr. Deayala surpassed my expectations. He is extremely… knowledgeable and has an amazing bedside manner. He took the time to answer all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. When your pregnant you want to feel like your in good hands and thats how I felt after I left his office. I highly recommend Dr. Deayala to anyone look for TOP DOC!!!! He may not be a TOP DOC yet because he is new to the area, but in my book he is a TOP DOC!

He took care of my second pregnancy. Great doctor! Straight and to the point no B.S. The office staff was awesome! I once saw them help a woman who did not have insurance. They gave her all the info and paperwork she needed, no judgement at all. Very friendly and helpful. However, I stopped going to this office because I started to be seen by a nurse practitioner who seemed to be clueless. I was told I did not have cysts or a prolapse and to come back if symptoms did not improve. Well I had already went once I did not see a point in going again, no one likes flashing their vagina around to strangers. I decided to see another provider after the pain continued. It turns out I did have multiple cysts and a visible rectocele. Avoid the NP and stick to the DR

Dr. Deayala is a great doctor. He delivered my first child and having been pregnant really young, he informed me on all possible options and let me understand what is happening to my body. When I thought I miscarried he took me in right away and did the test. He cares for his patients and takes the time everyone deserved. Greatly appreciated and highly recommended!
