Terrible physician with no empathy for the patient and dangerous clinical knowledge. Never ever consider to see this physician

I encountered Doctor Grau during a visit with another Rheumatologist at the University. The Doctor who examined me brought him into the room and he asked me very rudely and in rather provocative manner: " What is the objective here? Are you shooting for disability? " He insinuated that I was faking it and tried to get free money of the government. Soon thereafter he left the room and was dismissive about any more information on my condition. I have had chronic pain for years and I'm trying to figure out what is going on. I AM disabled and it's no fun and I resent being judged and treated like that. This guy didn't even know me since it was my first visit. He's a terrible doctor.

I'm a young female with many health problems. I was referred to Dr. Grau, and at first I thought wow he through, until he told me to hold on he would be right back, about 15-20 minutes later he comes back tells me he's going to get with done of my doctors, and further testing, and we will figure it out. 2nd appointment was a waste of time he asked why I was there... Really ? Follow up, I said , he said you'll have to excuse me the computer system. Well if looks like I haven't heard anything back or get any of your records. I e Found out from those other doctors that I have had for years that they had no request & no phone calls from Dr. Grau . I gave the benefit of the doubt again went for my third follow-up appointment about seven weeks later waited forever , finally in the room. Dr Grau said again why are you here I said are we not going to figure out what is going on with me ? The records that you have ordered he made up all these excuses and I complained and he apologized and… canceled that appointment and said he would let me know, he walked me to the front to let them know not to charge, and he said he would get back with me and it's been about 3 months , still haven't heard from him of his staff. Very strange, dishonest, non-caring doctor. Waiting is way to long to.

Dr. Grau has shown absolutely NO concern for my symptoms, pain, or what meds work for me and what meds do not work for me. He has disregarded me as a Human Being, minimizing my symptoms and refers only to my weight and age(being that I am over weight and that "I am too young to be in all this pain"). I sit here and cry in pain as I write this praying that I get through to his office because the hold time is generally 20-25 mins before anyone gets to you. He took me off the 1 single med that WAS working simply because he didn't think it would work because the med is given to patients who actually have a serious condition and he doesn't believe I have a serious condition. Who would've guessed Dr's could be wrong and that a patient just might not be crazy afterall! Dr. Grau NEEDS to seriously review why he became a Dr. in the first place. Was it to help people??? Because it doesn't seem nor feel that why to this patient.

Dr. Grau is one of the most disrespectful doctors that I have ever met. He is rude and not willing to listen to the concerns of his patients. He prefers to dominate his patients and is nothing more than a bully. If you do not agree with his treatment plan, then you are made to feel that your opinions have little value and that you do not have enough intelligence to make decisions for your own well being. Dr. Grau lacks compassion and tact; he made me feel extremely uncomfortable to the point that I was afraid to be in the treatment room with him.
