Surgery went horrible then spent five minutes maybe in follow ups said pain would go away with time no x-rays no nothing just it will get better but nothing it is better now thanks to a surgeon who cares and has bedside manners

I sure wish I had read all this before I let this " butcher" ( a lot of people call him this) operate on me!!! He operated on my back in 2010. He put a rod & screws in my spine. I only hurt a little before he operated on me. I was dumfounded by what he said I needed & he scared me. I can't get out of bed & do things like I used to. I have to use a scooter. I can't stand for 1 minute without me hitting the ground!! I kept telling how severe the pain was & that my right foot was totally numb! He just said it would get better. It never has. I fall down all the

i had a c5 c6 fusion in my neck and still to this day i have pain in my neck i feel it didnt work or he put it in wrong has any body else had this problem

after a disc replacement has anyone experience failed disc come apart

My husband went to Dr. Parra in 2011 and he said he needed surgery for several different discs. After the surgery I asked him what he had actually done to my husband and he looked done his noise at me and walked off never answering my question. These happened again at a followup visit. After 2 12 years of agonizing pain my husband saw another doctor and nothing from the surgery Parra did was healed and the bottom screw was improperly placed. I would not take a dog to him. He should be allowed to practice medicine. His bedside manner is as bad as his surgical skills.

Dr. Parra has forgotten how to be a compassionate doctor. He was very rude and abrupt while attempting to do a myelogram test. He was angry because I was in pain and upset. He asked me if I wanted to stop the test because he was angry and in a hurry. I was not even given the option to have a CT Scan that was also scheduled. I will NEVER see this doctor again and will advise all my friends and family to find a BETTER and more caring doctor.

I have to agress with the rest of the comments i went to him and he came in asking when i had the MRI that i brought him and i told him about 3 weeks ago and he just left and came back in and told me yes it show me that you have L4 and L5but he wont to ran more test on me and put dye in my back and i also have a hearing problem and ask if he could speak up and he just keep talking and i had a friend with me and i had to keep asking her what he was saying and after he told me about the dye he got on his little record and starting talking and afterward he got up and told that the staff would be making me a appt and walk off so yes he does not spent time with you and dont answer questions when it come for someone cutting on your back are for that matters anywhere on your body if he is in that much in a hurry can you imagic when he got you open up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first saw Dr. Parra it is like the others have said I only spent about 2 min. with him. After seeing my MRI he came in and asked how pain I was in. He them told me I needed surgery now that he need to fix my C4 and C5 disk on my neck. Two weeks later I had the surgery and I was out of the hospital the next day. I did have follow ups but I hardly ever saw the doctor. He comes in and out and goes on to the next room. 4 years later and got some pain back but it is from my C6 now. Over all I think he is pretty good but he needs to spend a little more time with his patients.
