Dr needs to retire and the place needs an upgrade to feel more kid friendly.

I am concerned with the way things are run in this facility. Worst place ever. That old lady in the top picture with glasses in the middle that she’s very old, don’t let her touch your child. She is very rough and she shouldn’t be working there if your working with children. Stay away from this place. If that old hag comes into to help the Dr restrain your child, DONT LET HER TOUCH YOUR CHILD. The whole staff needs to really cater to knowing how to deal with kids, they don’t know how to. The doctor should be retired already, how do you check my child and is the first time and almost within five minutes of checking her you say she needs surgery. No antibiotics or let’s follow up in a few days after she takes medication. No, you dont do that. I decided not to follow his suggestion and left. I went to a different dr and they did prescribed my girl antibiotics and she did not need an operation at all. Stay away nothing but a cash cow of an office. I would also agree on the attitude of… the front lady that you have working there, very rude. The office is not kid friendly. I’m going to follow up with Miami Children’s hospital on this matter. Very concern parent.

Took my daughter to Dr Portela he was nice and polite, but they can even clean her ears wax pretty well due she was uncooperative and the lack of patient of the nursing team,then we were suggested to have a follow up appointment in order to see if could be done later.In the mean time we could not show up for the next appointment due to she had a test at school and we were charged 20.00 usd for no show ,almost sent to a collection agency .This a business practice first and a healthcare one after. Worst place to take your child.

Lear how to deal with children. That’s why the hospital is called Children’s Hospital. That office is not kid friendly.

Its a joke to get an apt . with this Dr.. I have been there before but every time you call to make an appt. you are placed on hold for 15 minutes and you end up calling again. It can take weeks before you get through to make an appt. So why bother I will search for another Dr.

I've taken my daughter to him 3 times. He is always very personable and does great with my child. Definately recommend.

Very nice, professional, was trying to find his email because even with insurance the bill came out to $400.00 Tough in this economy. Doctor please contact me when possible to see if you can help me out with the bill that we owe.
