Dr. Rahul Udaykumar Hate, MD

Dr Hate takes his time to answer our questions and concerns. My 2 children and I are very comfortable with him. Totally recommend him.

When our little girl was gravely ill a week after she was born, Dr. Hate was the doctor on call. We called the answering service in complete panic because she had a high fever and was listless. He calmly told me to get her to the hospital. She was subsequently hospitalized for three weeks with a life-threatening infection. Dr Hate visited us every day that he was on call and consistently when he was not. His care of our daughter since her hospitalization has been exemplary. He is thorough and listens to our concerns. He patiently answers all of my questions, even when they are repetitive. I also appreciate that I never have to wait past my appointment time with him. He also listens to our wishes and includes us in decisions that are made about our daughter's health rather than making us feel pressured to do something with which we are uncomfortable. I truly feel he is an excellent part of the care we've received since our little girl came into this world!

I have two girls, age 6 and 2 1/2 and we have been going to Dr. Hate for many years now. Not only is he an excellent pediatrician, but he is also very kind, friendly and wonderful with the kids! Last time he explained to my older daughter what a shot is and why we have to get one and she did 't even cry. We never feel rushed, he takes his time to answer all questions in great detail. My daughters love going to their yearly check-ups and of course also enjoy playing with the toys in the waiting room area or looking at the childrens' books. We can highly recommend wonderful Dr. Hate!!!!

Our daughter is two years old and we have seen Dr. Hate primarily for check ups and the occasional cold. He is extremely patient, warm and will spend as much time as you need to explain practically anything you are worried about. I will never forget how, when our daughter had jaundice after birth, he made sure we had a bed in the pediatric room for her and called repeatedly to check in with us and to explain to us (1 day old parents) what was going on with our daughter and how it was being taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I have been taking my two sons to Dr. Hate for several years, since he first started in the Queens practice. He has provided excellent care, and has a friendly, gentle manner that puts my sons at ease. He always takes the time to fully talk through any concerns, during office visits and also in after-hours phone consultations. I highly recommend Dr. Hate.

We take our son to the Queens location and we are satisfied with every dr there, but especially Dr. Hate. As a new mom, he put me at ease when we went in for our first check up. He's extremely patient and does an excellent job with his evaluations. He asks many questions and also answers our many questions - I never feel like any question I ask is a dumb question with Dr. Hate. We never feel rushed during our visit, with any doctor. Overall, great staff, comfortable office and convenient location. I highly recommend Dr. Hate if you want a thorough, kind and pleasant bedside manner in your child's pediatrician.

What I like best about this practice is that rarely do you have to wait more than 15 minutes, that the doctors really love children and that they take their time to explain everything. Dr. Hate is so friendly and concerned with children's well-being. He is also prompt at calling back afterhours and on weekends, which I do not take lightly having had horrible experiences with other doctors in this area.

I think dr. hate is great. he is non-alarmist, thorough, answers my questions, and explains everything. he is patient, kind, and easy going with my toddler son. he is my favorite here at the jackson heights office.

My husband and I first brought our daughter to see Dr. Hate when she was a week old. She had some jaundice after she was born, and we immediately felt reassured by Dr. Hate's gentle, patient, and attentive bedside manner. He reassured us about her condition and answered all of our questions about the test he recommended she get. Our daughter is now almost four and never gets upset about going to the doctor because she feels so comfortable with him. He answers our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Dr. Hate has impressive credentials (Stanford, Cornell), and he combines his intelligence with compassion. We feel fortunate to have him as our daughter's pediatrician!

Really uptight and control freaky. Sorry. We wanted to like him and have seen him four times but every time has just confirmed our original impression. His attitude is arrogant and dismissive. He is very fussy about things being done exactly his way with no explanation or flexibility. No patience, which seems odd for a ped. I actually even saw him roll his eyes while my son was crying -- that was the last straw for me. Basically zero bedside manner. The other drs in this jackson heights practice are consistently great, knowledgeable, nice, flexible, patient, personable and good listeners. This guy I dont get.
