Dr. Rahul S Nayak, MD

I have been seen by Dr. Nayak in both the office and the hospital on numerous occasions for GI bleeds associated with portal hypertension. He explained what was going on and calls me at home to follow up when necessary. I trust him with my life.

I was bleeding internally and was taken to Northside Hospital where I received excellent care by all the staff. Dr. Nayak was my doctor and he was so kind, so patient, and very skilled. He took his time explaining things to me and I never felt rushed. He has an excellent bedside manner. The bleeding stopped and the source was not found but I was referred to a GI in the Kaiser group for follow-up as Dr. Nayak's office was very far. He told me he would have the nurse at the office call and he followed through and the nurse did call. Dr. Nayak is excellent in all areas and I am grateful he took care of me while in the hospita.
