Dr. Raj Patel

Very happy with this doctor, planning on transferring my second child with him...

Dr. Patel is considerate and very knowledgeable. He explains everything in detail in and terms anyone can understand. He is genuinely concerned about your child. Staff is rude and inconsiderate. They have handed me a paper to sign and ask I hand it back to them and they walk off and disappear. Trying to get an appointment is difficult. Dr. Cruz is very uncomfortable to be in the office with. I had a last minute appointment with her a few days ago for my daughter and she walked out before I could ask questions. I had to ask the MA to ask her to come back in. She has no confidence and I feel my time was wasted with her.

Great doctor, very knowledgble. Average wait time not long. Very friendly staff, especially the nurse. I don't remember her name, I just remember she has a bear tattoo on her neck.

I have 3 kids, and BCBS. Not my first dance with a pediatrician... We are new here from California. This office is run like a mad house. Too many patients stuffed into a tiny waiting room, with staff that is overwhelmed. Dr. Patel is nice, caring, and explains everything really well. But getting anything done with the staff is VERY hit or miss. Good luck getting vaccines here, I was told they are out of my child's immunizations for me, but I saw other kids getting their shots, and asked why...the answer I was given was that they had public insurance, and they have those vaccines in stock! Seems backwards to me?

As a child, I had an amazing pediatrician who took time to personally know me and my family. Since then, I've had super high standards and have looked for the same type of care for my children. After a dozen doctors, I finally found a home with Raj Patel at Estrella Family Medical. The staff takes time to get to know me and my child as a person. Dr. Patel is very respectful and I am really encouraged when he tells us, with specific examples, that we are doing a good job caring for our child. When he has a concern about something, he respectfully shares his concern and works through it with us. We do not vaccinate our child, and although he is of a different opinion, I appreciate that he still provides top care for our child without negative judgement. I like how the office is an advocate of reading to our children from an early age. At our last few visits, we have been given at least three books to take home to read to our child. I highly recommend this office for care. The… only negative feedback that I have is that I wish they would be more proactive in setting up routine appointments because when left up to me, I find that I procrastinate and end up making my child's 12 month appt when she's 13 months.

Dr. Patel actually told me that I was asking too many questions when I took my 2 year old son in for a visit. He was with me a exact total of 7 mins after waiting 45mins after my appointment time. I had a serious question about my son's development and he told me "he had other patients to see", got up walked out and never came back. I am filing formal complaints.

I can't trust anyone there. First, they don't help you keep track of which shots the kids need. They didn't transfer their records from their other doctor so they missed one of the shots for my twins, but I had to be the one to tell them after I figured it out. Then they lied and said that they didn't have them because I didn't sign the consent sheet to transfer them after they told me to get the records myself. Dr. Patel is hit or miss. Sometimes he's good, but sometimes I feel like he's not really listening. That, and he said he would give me a referal for a specialist, but I had to call back 3 TIMES to get it. It took over 2 weeks! The toy in the waiting room is filthy and I don't understand why the wait is so long when there is hardly anyone in there. Lastly, no one ever calls me back. Wouldn't recommend that place. I feel like no one cares about their job there and doesn't care about my kids.

I have searched for over a year to find a pediatrician that actually cared about my son as a person and that didn't make us wait for an hour in the waiting room only to rush us through his office. I was ecstatic today when we met with Dr. Patel for my son's two-year well check. He was thorough and knowledgeable and took the time to talk to me. He made me feel like my questions mattered. We chatted about my son's milestones and what to expect in the next few months. It was so refreshing to find a doctor that values the input and the questions of a mother while still taking the time to treat her child with respect and kindness. We had to wait for awhile, but it was well worth it. Once Dr. Patel came in I didn't feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing him at all. I could tell he really loves what he does.

Worst office staff imaginable. I have tried to call for an appointment and the answering machine say will be open from lunch at 130pm, it is now 154 and still not open. When you go to the office, there is never a Hello, how are you or nothing. The doctor is good with the kids, but his staff is just not professional, not polite, and I think they are hurting his business because they dont answer the phone.

Me encanta ir con este doctor, porque tiene carisma con los nios, y eso me agrada, ademas lo principal es que diagnostica lo que es en caso de algo que no le paresca lo manda aun espesialista.Y el personal con que cuenta tambien son muy amables y es por eso que yo les recomiendo al Dr. Patel R.
