Dr. Raj Sinha, MD

Saw Dr. Sinha for a simple mole removal on the back of my thigh. The mole was about the same size as photo A. I also got an estimate to remove mole B. I was told mole A could go through insurance because it was raised, but mole B would be self-pay because it was not raised and considered cosmetic. $800ish was quoted for mole B which is clearly bigger than mole A. I was never told how much mole A would be, but I wasn’t worried because I figured $800 or less since it was smaller and it was presented to me as if going through insurance was a good thing. I got the bill and I now owe $1,600. I called the office on more than one occasion and no one has been able to explain the price difference to me. To add insult to injury, there was a $100 consult fee, then the Dr. billed an additional office visit to insurance for a few hundred dollars. My appointment was 30 minutes, if that, including the waiting. So, for seeing the Dr. for mere minutes for a mole removal smaller than the circumference… of a No. 2 pencil eraser, I was charged $742 for excision and $864 for “repair”. The bill would have been even higher had I not called to complain about the consult fee and office visit fee. They did give me a refund on the consult and removed the office visit from the claim. What does that say? They knew it was a bad billing practice but just wanted to see what they could get away with. I’ve also been left with a scar bigger than the mole itself. I completely regret this service and obviously did not pursue any other mole removals. If you still decide to take your chances on this clinic and Dr. Sinha, PLEASE get cost estimates in writing, with and without insurance. I now understand why BCBSIL terminated their contract with the clinic. What happened to me is totally in line with their money hungry agenda. I was basically scammed into going through insurance, under the facade it was going to benefit me. I will be filing another complaint. Photos are attached.

He could not have been more rude and condescending. I also felt as if he discriminated against me. He should be canceled that should not be tolerated in this day and age. Spent over $1500 for scar revision that made a tiny scar MUCH larger and worse. At follow up appointment he merely chuckled and said its just looks. So disappointed.

Yes, I would choose this doctor. He is very thorough, explains everything and spends as much time I need to answer all my questions and feel comfortable.

Dr. Sinha is an excellent doctor with compassionate bedside manners. He takes the time to listen and formulate a medical treatment plan tailored to the individual. He explains pro's and con's and what to expect before and after surgery in great detail and makes sure all my questions are answered and I feel comfortable. He calls to check on me and talks directly to his patients after surgery throughout during the recovery. He is extremely thorough and detailed.

I think he is very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. Even if you are not here for a certain thing but he notices it or you do he will take care of that as well. He never turns you away even if you are late or simple cant afford your co-pay. He has worked with several patients who had no money or insurance but needed the work done to help them and even not charge them. He is more then a plastic surgeon he his great.

I had a little of a web in my hand. We marked the date of my surgery and he told me every thing he was going to do. I always felt relaxed when I went to go see him. After the surgery I had to have my hand in a cast. After two weeks I got the cast off. WOW my hand looked great. A few days later I got a INFECTION ewww. He gave me some pills an it looked better. But me and my dad and brother always go on a father sons fishing trip every year of my life and they went while I was stuck heeling at home DARN. But at the end I had A new hand and an AWESOME doctor.

Dr. Sinha was so wonderful to me. I was upset and he spoke to me such a caring way. I felt that he really cared about me and my health. Thank you Dr. Sinha.
