Didn’t seem to care about my sister and made rude comments. He made it feel like it was a waste of time to him to care for my sister who was very ill.

2 times in the last 6 months (4 months apart) Dr. Bhoda has attempted to inappropriately prematurely discharge my mother. The first time, it was pointed out that he was dumping the patient on his wife, who was the outpatient primary care physician. Dr. Bhoda decided to extend her hospitalization until she was at an appropriate level of care for outpatient treatment. The second time, he bullied her specialists into an inappropriate discharge and I was informed anonymously of it. I filed an ethics complaint against him and he retaliated by telling the insurance company that she should be discharged when the other doctors didn't agree, thereby having them deny continuing medically necessary inpatient treatment. He did this after HE RECUSED HIMSELF from being her attending physician inpatient. You don't get to pick your attending at this hospital. They are assigned to from a company called Sound Physicians. We didn't pick Dr. Bhoda. Sound Physicians assigns him to patients they want booted… out of the hospital. When he 'assigned' to the patient, you can be assured that patient will be booted out of the hospital within 2 days, whether or not it is an appropriate discharge. Which in our case, both times were not.

Wonderful young physician, very compassionate
