I've been seeing Dr. Mehta for over a year now. I think he's knowledgeable but I didn't know what my diagnosis was the first time I visited him. I went away from my first visit after my colonoscopy thinking I had Ulcertative Coilitus. At the second visit he told me I had Crohns disease. I've had more problems with his staff getting prescription renewals than any other doctors office I've ever worked with. Once I received a huge package from Medco from Arizona with ice packs that contained a suppository he had prescribed at one time that I could have gotten locally for about $14. It cost me $50 just for the shipping. Other times I just got wrong prescriptions or had to call several times to get something filled. His office is very busy and it usually takes me 2 hours from start to finish.

This "doctor" is an insult to the profession. He will NOT listen to you or even the medical professionals that make the mistake of referring you to his office. His arrogance is dangerous. He prescribed a medication that was specifically listed as contraindicated for the meds I was allergic to and took almost a week to get me in to look at other meds for my condition. Two hour waits appear to be the norm for his office. When it happened to me, I took my medical records and left. He's fired.

I would not have my worst enemy see this person. One word for him. Karma.

I have been followed by this Doctor for over a year, and have spend over $10,000 with no improvment seen. I tried to have my records sent to Ohio St. Medical center, but they can't even get that done in one months time. This office is not clean!! The staff is not helpful. The DR. spends less than 6 minutes with you per visit. (I timed him four times.)Keep looking!!

I would not recommend having Dr. Mehta doing any colonoscopy for anyone. We waited about 3 hours for the dr. to get to the hospital. This is the only place he does them. And that was after they called and rescheduled it for two hours later. He was unable to sedate my mother so basically she was held down while they did the entire procedure while she was awake. This should not even have been done this way! Do not go to him for this procedure.
